What really made me sick was the idiots who said seeing this happen to this woman made them feel safer. Reap what you sow sheep and checkpoint tyrants.

Everyday, I become more and more thrilled that I turned down a job offer from TSA in september, I didn't like their polices or their shift layout, on for 4 hrs, off 2 but had to stay on grounds then back on for 4

It's sad that the two women in the news clip "feel safer" because a woman with a pacemaker and refused to be groped isn't flying.

Ok, let me say right up front that I don't like the policies in place at airports. HOWEVER did this woman not know that she was going to be searched? Who hasn't heard of the full body pat downs or the scanners? If you don't want to go through these "security" measures (and I use these terms VERY loosely) DRIVE.

no there is no guarantee that you will be patted down. I didn't have my boarding pass out at the time I went through the detectors one time and ... yep you guessed it, secondary. If I hadnt of had a waiting girlfriend at the end of security and a proposal in Hawaii planned, I wouldn't have let them touch me. but i decided to let them molest me so I wasn't selfish. that was about 6 years ago.

I was wearing surf shorts and a tight tank top. I have no idea where they thought i was hiding a nuclear weapon at? but if you ask my wife ............. ;):D

So the best way I can see to have these pathetic security policies changed are to get rid of the people making them. The only other way to do it is for a mass revolt and no one flys. afer a few days of no flying by a mass of people, I would think the airlines would get into the middle of it & force some policy changes.

I'm not flying but this doesn't change anything.

The woman in the video may be a little nuts to begin with. I'd like to see the security tapes of the incident. HOWEVER, even crazy people are the constitutional right to refuse an undue search and seizure. When she opted out of the pat down, she should have been allowed to go home instead of being detained and dragged out by police.

People ARE okay with this garbage and saying the "law is the law" is a terrible justification. People should be pissed. They should refuse to fly but they just shrug their shoulders and continue walking down the unacceptable line of dehumanization.

The end result is different but this is too close to concentration camp-like behavior for comfort.

But it's okay. They're just doing their "jobs." :dunno:

i for one would like to hear the whole story, because you don't get arrested for just refusing to be patted down, you are just denied entry into the terminal.

I do not think that is always correct. Too many reported & documented incidents of people arrested after passing the TSA Checkpoint and then Not wanting to be Groped, X Rayed or subjected to further Humiliation at the hands of a "Public Civil Servant" :dunno:

That is not true. We have seen previous stories on this subject where the TSA has flat out said that refusal to submit will/can result in arrest and/or fines of up to $11K. Once you get to the point where you must submit there is no going back, the TSA has been more than clear on this matter. People have already been arrested for refusal to cooperate, this is just the latest case.

Remember, the TSA agents are doing what they were told to do, just like the Nazis in Germany a short 70 years ago. "I was just doing as Herr Hitler told me to do", and the people said "ok, if it is for my safety".

I would love to see a one week, preferably a one month moratorium on flying. A no-fly month would not only get the attention of the airlines, but maybe wake up the government to the fact that we the people are tired of their actions that don't make us safer, but take away our freedoms.

Let's hope there's an enterprising new Congress member who wants to make a name for himself and hold some of their show hearings.

No,they would just throw billions of dollars to the airlines, and end up owning half of them. and make gasoline so expensive that the average citizen couldn't afford to drive, say 1000 miles. the government already realizes that there are millions of us that are tired of our freedoms getting taking away. just by the last election. but that didn't change anything in the way they act. look at what they got passed just in a couple of weeks time. I am sure they are just sitting back and laughing at what they are doing to the country.THEY WANT US TO FAIL. and are not going to stop,no matter what. until we are a third world country. You know we should all be equal. the USA has been in power too long.:xmad:

well then, i stand corrected. i thinks it's bs, if you don't want to be searched then you should just be turned away. on what grounds can they arrest you for refusing the pat down?

Just bend over and take it, eh? This is why the government does what they do.
