    Everyone's basically covered it. Conceal it well and you're good to go, that's what I've always practiced while there. On the downside, the Indy Zoo isn't as nice as the Memphis Zoo, but it's a pretty good one. I definitely like the Memphis Zoo better.

    Except for, you know, being in Memphis! :D

    I worked for several years at the Indpls Zoo and was a member of the Animal Containment Team, they are not anti gun, but very sensative to there vistors as long as it is consealed there won't be any problems.

    There are only two sides PRO-GUN or ANTI-GUN. Just like a girl can only be pregnant or not. No such thing as "a little pregnant". :rolleyes:
    So with that said since the zoo has "no firearms" signage on their property and if they see it (firearm) they will ask you to leave (we have documented cases here on INGO of this occurring) then that too me means they are ANTI-GUN PERIOD!

    Though someone will be along shortly to tell you that if a group of kids from a school show up in a school bus that you are now violating the law, as per:

    IC 35-47-9-2
    Possession of firearms on school property, at school function, or on school bus; felony
    Sec. 2. A person who possesses a firearm:
    (1) in or on school property;
    (2) in or on property that is being used by a school for a school function; or
    (3) on a school bus;
    commits a Class D felony.

    This has been argued by both sides, but to the best of my knowledge, there is no case law defining this yet.

    Correct there is as of yet (2011) in the State of Indiana NO CASE LAW on this grey area of the law. It can go either way depending on the judge, the jury and your atty. :faint:

    yeah, hopefully we can reeducate them little by little.

    I try...I try. My boss is actually the one who asks me the most questions. He'd like to own but his wife has veto'd it. So maybe he lives vicariously through me :dunno: He can't get dating stories so he gets gun stories :D. But I have educated him on where you can carry a gun without a license, the no registration of guns in IN, etc. Stuff he didn't know that now he does. He's seen customers OC in the store (it IS Speedway after all) and he's fine with it. My last store, I think my boss would've had a litter of kittens if someone had OCed in there, but it was Carmel after all :rolleyes:

    I am not a lawyer but from my understanding you are not breaking the law if a bus comes in with school kids. If the school has rented out the zoo and is using it and you carry, then you are breaking the law. Just showing up you should be fine I believe.

    i bet. one group thinks their **** dont stink. and the rest of the people are here to serve them.

    sounds like you have taught your boss right. hopefully he will pass it along and continue the chain.

    Yep..It was common for us to be ignored when we greeted customers entering the store in Carmel. If they didn't need us, we didn't exist. But if they needed us, we'd better be right there or it was terrible customer service. Speedway, sometimes they beat us greeting them. They ask US how we're doing when we greet them, they smile when we ask them if they need help with anything. They say thank you and sound like they mean it, etc.

    IDK if he will. His wife won't let him own and she's the boss :rolleyes: I might be the only person here that he knows that owns. I think he was saying that he's related to/friends with at least one LEO in Jersey but I can't remember. And IDK if he'd be willing to go to the range even :dunno:
