Stop by Tomlinsons in Cherubusco... the lady who works there carries a 1911. You'll like her.
That would be me...and what's not to like? :):

    i did notice being ignored
It happens. Sometimes even if you hold your own by talking the talk, AND walking the walk.
By the way...we just so happen to have gotten a couple used Kahrs in. If I'm not mistaken, I think one is a K40 and the other is a CW45. I know the owners of both and can vouch for them both being decently cared for and the .45 not being shot much at all.
Like Jay said, stop in to say howdy...looks like you might be near the neighborhood! :)

You've got lots of choices. The P3AT seems to make it's owners pretty happy. The SIG P238 is probably worth a look; or you could pick up it's spiritual predecessor, the Colt Mustang - I believe there is one for sale here in the forum in fact. And of course the Kahr which has been mentioned.
i've fondled that Sig P238. i really think i would like that gun. i hesitated to buy it because i wanted something in 9mm, so i got the Glock 26. love the Glock, but it is fat, with that doublestack. so now i'm back to thinking .380, but still keeping the Glock.

I didn't see where you offered to sell me that gun. I'm still kinda figuring out my way around this forum. It looks tiny in your hand! I have really small hands. I'd imagine the price will be a bit steep for me and hubby would have a cow after i just bought the Glock. :xmad: Hmmm....well, maybe not, i'm pretty good to him! Dang, the more i learn about guns, the more guns i want.

Cindy, have you looked at the Taurus Slim line?

I have the PT709 Slim and to me it is a very concealable 9mm (7+1), plus it is also sold in the .40 (6+1).

Also as a little note, while it is a striker fired pistol, it is a DA/SA pistol.

When I'm not carrying my fullsize 9mm, I'll sneak the 709 out and about with me.

I'm not sure how small of frame you are or how concealable you want to be, but have you thought about trying different holsters with your Glock26? That's what I carry and depending on the holster it virtually disappears. If you're interested I can tell you more about my holsters, but don't want to thread jack from your OP.

Also if you are getting sexist treatment at gun stores, you need to go to a different store. I have been in a number of them and there are a few I won't go back in because I was ignored. My money is just as good as a mans, so I don't understand why they wouldn't want to sell to me.

I'd like to know more about your holsters. the holster i have now is a Kydex hybrid. yesterday i was wearing jeans and a loose fit athletic shirt, and it was not very noticeable, but when i climb into my vehicle, sit or bend over, it is very uncomfortable and i have to adjust it. i am 5'2", 140 lbs currently, but working on losing a bit.
    thanks

    Cindy,

Where are you in North Central? If you want, we can meet at the range and I'll let you try out the CW9 and the LC9. Those are the two I use for "summer carry" and both conceal very well.

Just drove through Logansport on my way back from Indy yesterday! Is the airport open (I had heard it was closed for some surface work or something)? If it is, I could fly down and you could pick me up at the airport and take me to a range down there. I like to get an hour or two a week flying and Logansport is a nice little 30 minute hop!

I'm not sure about the airport being down, i haven't had to go that way in awhile. I did talk to them awhile back and they don't have the Charter service or anything like that anymore. No hurry or anything, i may hold off buying another gun for awhile, but let me know when you are going to make a trip, and i will see if hubby and i can meet up with you. We can go to Izaak Walton, i don't have any other place to shoot close by. I envy those that live in the country and can shoot anytime they want, but we are fortunate to have the Izaak.

When Taurus first brought out the PT-709 Slim there was an extractor issue that was fixed rather quickly, and there are several members here on INGO that have them, including myself and Bapak2ja (I do believe this is his everyday carry).

I personally have put about 750 rounds through my 709 with nary a hiccup, and love it for being a smaller 9mm, but not too small like some.

If you are interested in shooting a PT-709, throw up a request and see who is near enough to you for a test run.

Yeah, i usually just walk away from that, but sometimes i feel more like being ornery!
I'm about 90 miles from you guys. Maybe we'll be near there sometime and stop in. I know i would like to! We don't get in that area often, but once in awhile we are looking for somewhere to ride our motorcycles to. We bought a truck off a used car lot there, years ago.

I think all women should be armed that way they can protect our bacon and eggs while in the kitchen cooking them:D

I think you should try to get with some of the gals during one of their meet and greets.
