Went to South Bend with my wife and 4 kids to run some errands today. First stopped at Midwest Gun Exchange and picked up a new Blackhawk Serpa CQB holster for my Glock. Looked at a few guns that my wife might be interested in (crossing fingers). Then went to get my glasses adjusted at the eye doctor. After that, we went to Sam's Club to get some supplies. Stopped at the food counter first and got us all a big hot dog and coke for lunch. Ya, we all ate for $10. When we went to check out at Sam's, the guy in front of us spotted my OC. I don't really know what he was thinking, but he was so distracted he could hardly swipe his card and grab his cart. After Sam's, we came home.

I know it happens, but I have yet to see anyone OCing in South Bend. My wife gets a kick out of it because she sits back and watches people who stare or do double takes. I don't even notice it much any more. Of course, they could just be taken in by my fabulous good looks. :dunno:

^^Ya, I said fabulous. Get over it :D

Yes I did open carry today. At the big liqor store in Avon, and at Great Fermentations homebrew store, picking up supplies for winemaking. Got a couple of looks, but no comments. I very well might have been the first person to OC there in the last 20 years :)

I OCd in there two months ago, picking up some dextrose. So, yeah, I'm walking down the street with a powdery white substance in a baggy and a Glock.

Perhaps I should re-think that the next time I need dextrose.

You should try to CC for a while, that way you will know if they stare for the gun or for your fabulous  good look. :):

Maybe YOU were the person I saw OCing at a restaurant, it was one guy with his wife and two kids!
I dont remenber much, it was in 2008 I think.
I only noticed the gun like 10 minutes after I set at the table next to this family.
I still remenber the name of the restaurant and few other details.
I just looked a few times trying to see what model it was but I didn't wanted to bother the guy and ask him what it was.
And also I was with someone not into gun so I didnt wanted to start a talk about gun models and calibers in front of her. :)

I am still a little shy to OC.... lol But really, I just don't feel right openly carrying in public just for the courtesy of my fellow citizens. I feel more comfortable with the fact that no one knows I have a weapon on me. :)

Courtesy used to be based upon respecting another's rights.

Which of our fellow citizen's rights do we disrespect by carrying within ours?

With that asked, carry however you are comfortable. :)

Courtesy also used to be based on respecting others' sense of decency. As you know, some would argue that an exposed weapon simply isn't decent.

I'm neutral on OC vs. CC. Do what you want. But sometimes the "its my right" argument starts to sound a little like the "read your LTCH, where does it say CC" arguement. :twocents:

Castleton mall hybrid carry. Marshells walmart kroger two gas stations.

Security at the mall informed no hoods but ignored a dozen or so Muslims in they're uniform.

They're welcome to argue that opinion, heck I'll even discuss it rationally with them if they're able, but the decent thing to do is still to respect others' rights while they're not infringing on yours.

    At bw3 greenwood right now

Sat down at bar and ordered a drink

Guy next to me said "you on duty?"
    "nope, civilian"
"**** man, can you do that?"

Explained how OC was alright in Indy. He said he's from Michigan and has never seen that before

Few minutes pass, and he says "that **** is still creeping me out, man!"

We talk for a while about football and guns. Nice guy, very... Uhm... Vulgar.

He just left. Now I'm here talking to the bartender about my 1911 XD

... Had to type it twice on iPhone, first time was longer, more detailed, but got eaten by the submit button.

2nd time was me not giving up and just speeding through it.

But in response to your post: Hi-laaaaarious
