I don't know if this is my imagination or not, but it seemed there were more women than usual, most with a man but a saw a few that seemed to be alone or in small groups. I Also noticed more elderly, of which I overheard two couples talking to a vendor stating they had no firearms but felt then needed some now and also needed training. I just wonder if this is, as they say in the investment world, a "leading Indicator" of something. Thoughts?

Picked up a new pistol for the wife while I was there.

That's interesting. I'll see what my "situational awareness" tells me tomorrow while I'm shepherding two or three teenagers.

I'm taking my girlfriend there tomorrow. Should be interesting. She's still making up her mind about a boyfriend with firearms who is also waiting for his concealed carry permit to be approved. Taking baby steps. Hell she bought the tickets to the show so that's a good sign!

It is NOT a concealed carry permit... it is a personal protection permit.

How was the smell this time?

I'm fasting today and I hope everyone else is avoiding animal protein!!!

Im eating a steady diet of fried foods and sour kraut this week, and Sunday morning may eat a bowl of chili in preparation for my trip. I wouldnt want to go into that environment defenseless. I typically can control my sphincter, but want to make sure its loaded in case I need to make a retaliatory attack from rampant crop dusters.

Depends on where your standing. Some spots are you smell is the popcorn and fried food other spots it is the roasted almonds and I walked through a spot where it smelled like someone filled their pants with poo.

Back on topic, I wonder if people are starting to wise up to the fact that when seconds count, the uniformed civilians are minutes away??

People starting to take responsibility for their own protection?

I was there with my wife, mother and sister in law. It was my mother and SIL's first trip to a gun show. There did seem to be a lot more women around this time.
