trying to find a good budget red dot that can take the abuse of a 12 gauge

I've got a 40mm NCstar on my Mossburg500. The first time I tried it, the threaded ends of the tube came off. The threads are extremely fine but they seemed to thread right back on. So I put a light coating of JBweld on the threads and put it back together. Since then it seems to be holding up great! I estimate I've put at least 100 rounds through that gun since then. I've been keeping an eye on it but I see no more signs of failure and its holding zero just fine!
