Jan '12 1500: Indy 1500 Line

Drove over an hour to get to the 1500 today only to find a line that was very long to get in. We could not believe
how long it was. We decided to leave. For those of you
that have the patience to stand in that line how long did it take to get in... I was in the gun buying mood today but not in to mood to stand in line for that long..

I got there early, no line, and it got so incredibly crowded inside that it was frustrating. When I left, the line was long but it had thinned out inside. I don't think it takes that long to get through the line.

I picked up a few things and saw everything but did not see many deals.

Took me about 15 minutes to get in at around 2pm today. Line moved along steadily.

the lines move really quick this show....a LOT faster than they used to....not longer than 15 minutes maybe

It sounds like you have been there a lot. I would just have to be in the market for something specific. Not really worth it to just walk around.

Maybe they should have seperate lines for those needing to get firearms zip tied and those without.....Could move it a bit faster.

I have been in lines wrapped around the building multiple times and it never took more than 15 mins to get in.

It took around 20 minutes for us at 11:30. It was frustrating moving around inside, as it was incredibly crowded. Actually it was uncomfortable.

Someone needs to figure out having an exit NOT through the same doors as the entrance.

It would be nice to get it away from the fairgrounds. REALLY, REALLY nice!!

$15 just to get in the door with parking. Driving over an hour and spending the gas money to do that, no thanks. I will spend the cash local or some other way. Any accidental discharges this year so far?

My buddy and I were parked in the back 40. 15 to 20 minute wait in line to get in then could only see about 1/2 of the goodies because just way to many people inside.

At 10:30a, it took about 10 mins to get in. When I left at 1:00p, it was down the entire front end and the entire length of the south end of the building. Some areas were extremely crowded in the narrower aisles with the pistols. Most people were very polite and were very careful around my 4 year old. Thanks to everyone.

got there around 10:00, 6 or 7 minute wait,, it was slow moving once we got inside,, did see Dave Canterbury from the TV show Dual Survivor, that was real cool !!!

Myself and 5 or 6 others worked twenty tables today for John Dellacca "Have Guns Will Trade", and for all of the many years I've attended, I can't remember that many people coming to the show that came Saturday. Many said this show date is the busiest show of the year, damn I can belive it !!!

Arrived about 10:15 and was a 10 minute wait to get in. Left at 2ish and saw at least a 30 minute wait along the South side of the building and then some. Ran into a couple guys we knew while leaving.

Crowded and busy. I go so that I can look around and all that, but I may be done for now. Had a friend tell me he was getting ready to head down there, told him not to bother and just go to Bradis. I did see things I wanted, but not much bargains for what I was looking for (didn't expect any).
