...doesn't own any guns that are just for fun? First off, I really don't own that many firearms. All of the ones I do have, I either carry, or train with or teach with. Yes of course I have fun with them, but they all serve a practical purpose. I ask this question for a reason, there is a certain gun that I have had my eye on, that has no practical purpose, but I would really like to have it. Not sure I can do it though.:dunno:

Same here. Not that training isn't "fun", but I don't own any range toys. Just 2 guns.

    :faint:

I don't have any safe queens, and all of mine could be used for specific purposes. I would say my only fun guns are my .22's but they serve a training purpose too.

I'd like to think I bought mine to serve a specific purpose. I used to have a "collection" of guns just for the history and never really shot them. But they've all be sold.

The Taurus Judge is crap, total marketing gimic. Buy a sporting clays shotgun instead. Clays are fun and proven to make you a better shot overall with any gun.

    Huh.

Same here, all work and no play, but I hope to change that. The next one is going to be just for fun. I have not a clue yet what exactly it will be other than the most fun thing I can find for my limited means. And then I plan to take down the street to MCF&G and shoot it till its junk! :D

personally I dont have the money to own a firearm that doesn't have a utilitarian function but when I get the money I plan to buy a few "fun" guns probably gonna start with a .50 Desert Eagle, it serves no practical function but it looks damn sweet and would be a hellavalotta fun to shoot

I guess I'm in the same boat? They are all fun, but also all serve a purpose. I can't imagine what gun would be only for fun and not fit a specific niche. I have thought about a BBQ gun though. You know, a really purty one that is like jewelery to wear at picnics and BBQs as well as other social functions.

I have quite a few firearms most of which are just for fun. I really only consider my pistols and my HD shotgun to be tools for which I protect myself and loved ones, and they are the ones I shoot and train with the most. The rest of which I use for stress relief and general fun time shooting.

Really? That really surprises me unless your purple key is broken. Although I can only remember you talking about a Glock that you dissed for a M&P and an SBR...

True story. M&P and my SBR. :yesway:

But I know lots of people with lots of guns that I can shoot. :D

Does competition count as practical? (Ihaven't figured out purple yet). If SHTF I'd probably have a bunch of neighbors at my door wanting to borrow anything I had ammo for.
Seriously, the only safe queen I have is a homely H&R break-top revolver in .32S&W my late father in law had, that I tore down to the springs etc and refinished.

If I won't take it with me to the shooting range on most trips then it gets sold. I refuse to have guns (or other things in life) that serve no purpose. For me it would be like having a '69 Charger sitting in the garage, but never driving it. Guns are like cars, they are meant to be used. If you want something pretty to look at, buy jewelry or antiques.

I have two Armi Sport 1861 Springfields. I use them for reenacting. I have only live fired one of them. I also have an Uberti 1860 Army that I use in reenacting. I don't really "use" them in the conventional sense of the word. They really are "just for fun".
