FDE vs Black on AR15

All it took to get mine running like a top was 5 seconds with a drill. My thinking is you can always put an adjustable gas tube or gas block on the thing if you open it up too large...
Or you can do it like I did and nail it on the first attempt

That is actually the one that alternates now. The UBR and the MIAD had some panels swapped with some other builds to alternate between EB (evil black) and FDE.

I voted black, but I thought you were talking about having the upper and lower Duracoated... if you're just thinking of furniture I don't see it as any big choice as it's easily changed. It'll be a very nice SBR no matter the color, I'd be obsessing over the choice of optic rather than the color but that's just me.

I looked HARD at one of those, but ended up going with the T-1 from Midway ($499 when you use the promo code in the link)Aimpoint Micro T-1 Tactical Red Dot Sight 4 MOA Matte - MidwayUSA

But it was going on an AK; had I been looking for an AR I'd have probably gone with the Aimpoint Pro too.

Never really been a fan of the FDE, nothing at all wrong with it just not really my style. So Id have to go with the Black. But who knows might use it one day

I wasnt sure about changing to FDE at first, but after seeing one up close, I jumped in and bought all Magpul accessories. My RRA looks awesome and I cant believe I didnt change sooner!

Black is way over done. FDE or OD. Besides black pops just a bit too much in nature. Ever wonder why snipers paint their rifles?
