I made it to the show this morning and I have mixed emotions about it. I had hopes of finding some older revolvers, but pickings were slim in that department. I will say that if I were in the market for a long gun, just from casual observation, it looks like there were some pretty decent ones available.

The one good thing that came from my visit is that I picked up some steel spinner type targets from the guys set up in the corner of the building. I told them I shot a lot of magnum loads and they hooked me up with the best target to fit my needs. I tried them out when I got home using some light 38 special loads and I will say they are sturdy. Those light loads could only get them swinging a little bit.

Enjoyed the show, but I'm easily entertained. Saw a Ruger 77/22 walnut and blue, no sights with a no name scope for $450 asking. Would not have thought that a deal 5 years ago. Anybody else with cell phone problems? Disclaimer; like this show but it is small and well attended. Must love your fellow manliness.

I quickly found out today that Dugger is not a hot-bed for cellular activity. As for the crowd, it was almost too packed for me. I don't exactly have what you would call cat like reflexes, so bumping and banging into folks all moring while not being able to see anything makes for a poor outing.

Another thing that made it tough was how narrow the aisles were. Combine that with the folks that were in wheelchairs and you had some major jams in parts of the buildings.

Had to work today so didn't make the show and I'm still uncertain on tomorrow. As far as the cell phone problem goes anytime I'm heading to Linton and I'm on the phone I tell whoever I'm talking to that I'm closing in on Dugger. They understand.

I made it out there for a little bit. I too picked up a steel Target, and some odds and ends for a bug out bag. Tried to get some ar parts but whom ever was working the table with all the ar parts must have been off taking a nap or something cause I never saw them.

Nice little show, think it may have smelled worse than the 1500 though.

There was a guy at one of the more forward tables in the gym area with two decent S&W .38/.44's (Heavy Duty) for sale...he wanted a stiff price for them though. And I bought one of the swinger targets also! I got the mild steel one and tried out some of my lead reload 9mm's and .45 ACP on it this afternoon. 9's went fine, but the .45's gave me small dents in the steel..probably should have opted for the AR steel plate one, but for $20 I'm happy!
LOTS OF PEOPLE!! Wasn't expecting a small show like that to draw that big of a crowd!

Just looked it up. Afraid it's a little far for me to drive just to check it out, Maybe next time. That Ruger 77/22 sounds interesting though..... ;)

There were several people there but I was expecting that.
We got in and out fairly early.
I saw those old S&W revolvers but didn't have enough funds.
I spent my money on a Hakim.
We saw several nice, old 22 RF rifles.

The targets I bought were the AR steel plate. As I said before, the 38's I was shooting could only get a mild amount of swing. I'm going to try some magnum loads today and see what happens. I asked the guys what the price was if I bought three of them, and they happily knocked it down to $15 each. I jumped on it. Whether I was buying paper targets or printing them off, I thought it wouldn't take long to burn up $45, so why not give them a chance.

Just bought 3 handgun targets for $45 and the guy through in an AR target for the setup we bought last year for free. A couple boxes of shells. Not a bad show at all.

I thought it was a good show. Was a little disappointed there were no reloading components to speak of but found just what we wanted at Markles Guns in Linton on Sat afternoon. Went back over today and renued my dues for the Sullivan Conservation Club. Sold a Ruger Super Blackhawk to one of the guys selling steel targets and picked up a NEW Springfield XD9 Sub Compact from Herndons Guns for $439.00. I was happy with the price. :D

Our aisles are 8 feet wide because we measure them. If you think those are small try going to any other small show and walk through there, some of their aisles are half the size of Dugger's Show. I cannot help that the show was packed. My father advertises very well. I am over the table system we have and I make every row the same size, by the way you can drive a truck though each one (no joke). As far as cell service, I apologize, but that is out our control. All of our venders are happy and are coming back next year, also many people told us how good our show was and they wish we would have more then one a year and have BY FAR THE BEST FOOD.
    thank you and good day,

You guys did a great job Tanner! Was it crowded ? Yes it was, but if you had just a little bit of patience, you could get anywhere you wanted to be. A busy crowd means more vendors want to come back next year and that's what makes the show grow.
The cell service in Dugger sucks, that's a fact, but I'm going to a gun show for the show, not to yak on the darn cell phone.
Keep up the good work !

Well said Bikerdad61....I like having a good show this close to home. There will be small issues pop up from time to time but they handle it well. I did get a little miffed at all the people but as you said no crowd means no quality verdors. I will go back next year and I hope all the people do also. Thanks to all the guys that put on the show and for putting up with some flack....guess thats just part of it....lol
