    Picked up my Saiga IZ 340 today from Bradis. Almost done converting, just waiting on trigger and bullet guide. I plan on welding up the holes and refinishing it in flat black.

    Do you mind me asking what you paid for it? I've got a Polytech that's a little too purdy for me to abuse. Would like something I would get a little more use out of.

    i like smithing on my firearms. ah well. to each his own.. :D

    I love working on firearms. But I'm not going to spend extra money for bolt on parts, when I could have a factory built one for less. I mean were talking AK-74 front sight base / thread adapter, hand guard, gas tube, and and retainer for around $100 more. And if you don't want a bolt on hand guard retainer, your going to need to remove the gas block.
