If you read the article the guy is 46, so it is not a teen love affair. It's sounds pretty sick. I also have a family member that was falsely accused. It was horrible. The kid survives a horrible car accident, gets some money. His D-bag dad's crazy wife's daughter accuses him. Her story was swiss cheese, but it took months to prove it. Lawyers, the fact everyone (but his family) treated him as guilty, it sucks. There are a lot of sickos out there, some guilty are innocent, and vice-versa. If he's guilty, he'll get what's coming to him. Just protect yours.

Being a possible molester doesn't mean that's ALL he may or may not be. I try to avoid provoking people if I don't know how they'll react. What if, some morning at o'dark thirty, he pours gas on your buddy's house and lights it up, with everyone in it, because he doesn't like the sign basically taunting him? Some molesters are real sociopaths and might do just that.

You need to know your enemy before potentially picking a fight with him.

So you and your friend don't believe in the presumption of innocence?

Presumption of innocence is a legal concept that the courts abide by. We are free to choose our beliefs about individuals and their guilt or innocence as we want.

If your friend ever has to put him down expect the sign to be used in court against him. Just saying.

no worry's if I'm on the jury. I am sick and tired of hearing they are "sick". They are the same as a poisonous snake a far as I'm concerned. If we as a society are not willing to put them down they should be locked up for life. There was one of them at my church and my wife was hiding from who he was because she was afraid of what I would do. One of my sons fell down in the hallway in front of him and he reached down to help him up and I stepped in told him to NEVER touch my children under any circumstances. I wish they would do the right thing and kill themselves.:twocents:

Hum... make me wonder if RiverParker = Richard Kalecki Jr? :dunno:

From my reading his post, I think it is him. Unless I am misinterpreting his comment about 'who is this [guy with the sign] wanting to harm? ME!' (its a paraphrase). I'm either misinterpreting it or INGO's reading comprehension skills have gone down the tubes.

FWIW, I think the sign is distasteful also. I'm not saying I wouldn't be a little extra cautious in the mean time, but I don't trust accusations without seeing the evidence for myself or having the person actually be convicted.

That would certainly explain his allegation that people who hate child molesters secretly harbor the same sick and twisted fantasies that the alleged perpetrator would have.

There are plenty of convicted child molesters in the small town I live in. I keep informed through the registry and make it a point to be sure my kids know who they are as well. To the guy who said the sign might scare the kids into thinking their is a horrible monster across the street. Good! When it is your kids lives on the line it is better for them to be afraid and steer clear than it is to make the potential offender more comfortable. Many will disagree but I'm not advocating harm to be done to someone not yet convicted, but if I gotta be a bit rude to let him know I'm paying attention. So be it. I have watched a convicted repeat offender sitting at my then 8 year olds school program bouncing his girlfriends child on his knee. That is a sickening feeling! I watch for that one every where we go. He knows I know what he is and I wouldn't have it another way. We have to worry more about protecting our kids than being pc. Sorry to rant, this topic is one I feel strongly about. If you molest children, your rights mean **** to me!

This is pretty disturbing seeing everyone's response. these incidents and anyone involved should be issued a gag order for all involved due to the obvious emotional flareups people can and do have.

Someone accused of molestation, whether true or not, should have the whole thing privatized until formal charges are brought and they are awaiting trial.

I would hate for one of the people who want the molester to die to be wrongfully accused of it sometime.

I say the sign is in poor taste. There are means to find out where sex offenders are, and it is not any one person to "warn" others about it. Mind your own damn business, and protect your own.

Looks like that is exactly what has happened already. It appears from the article he has been formally charged and is awaiting trial....

Richard Kalecki Jr. is charged in Lake Criminal Court with three counts of child molesting and three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor. He faces a maximum 50-year sentence if convicted on the most serious charge.

I think minding our own business is what allows the perverts to continue adding victims. I'm thinking some of you saying they should be treated as everyone else and deserve a normal life after they get out don't have children.

They had an episode like this on desperate housewives. :shady:

Anyway i know of a guy who had a younger gf and ended up getting put away for that. he had just turned 18 and she was underage or something. Pretty much destroyed his life. Now hes in his 30s has a kid and a wife, cant to go his kids school functions, cant own any guns, his kid cant have his friends over. I think the sign is pretty trashy, when the guy hasnt been proven guilty yet. I let God do the judging, i wouldnt let my children go near him though and id watch them like a hawk.

I probably have more children than you and I think they deserve a normal life until they are proven guilty as long as they are legally out on bail. This is an issue for the judicial system. Im not saying Im happy they bailed out, but now that they have, we can't change the rules to suit our needs on a per case basis. Seems to me, some would have their outrage better served towards the judge that granted the bail limits for this particular case.

Wow. Something about "casting stones" comes to mind.

Cause there is protecting and then there is freaking out.
