Do you think this guy was just crazy or committing suicide?

It is my understanding that he became angry when told he had to pay his bill. From the story's I have heard he thought the test drive on the gun was free. This is third party but from folks who are well acquainted with the locals in the LGS's. Just the word I have heard. True/false who knows. He was a nut sack that is a given.

Not everyone should have a gun.

Am I the only one miffed at a lot of the news coverage stating that Mr. Chance "wont be charged," in the death of the guy who SHOT HIM?

Our prayers and support go out to him and his family. I understand that Don is doing right by him but that is third hand word of mouth. Fact or fiction I can not say.

It's very insulting that they would think about even considering, charging Ben.

The prosecutor's knew they wouldn't have a Chance.

That's great news. I'm glad the good guy is okay and back to establishing some normalcy in his life. As a side note, it is important for everyone to watch the video on IndyStar. It highlights just how quickly a situation can turn deadly--and how fast one has to react to stay alive. The training and skill that Chance demonstrated certainly trumps all of the fancy gun equipment, caliber and brand of ammo--all of which are argued and discussed on INGO.

I completely understand the "safety" vs. no safety argument, and the ready of the firearm in OC. +1 to everyone who practices frequently and has muscle memory from holster to target.
