Good luck. Even the few stations around here that advertised "ethanol-free" have stopped. The CountryMark Co-Ops used to be ETOH-free, but are no longer.

Some marinas offer ETOH-free, still. Are you near Geist or Morse?

What gasoline brand(s) doesn't contain ethanol. I want to buy pure gas for my new generator if possible.

The Countrymark on Allisonville Road in Noblesville has 90+ ethanol free gasoline. I use it to fill my wife's turbo Subaru.

I disagree with all of those statements. However I meant to ask the OP. Sorry I didn't clarify that.

Disagree all you want but many small engine manufacturers have big caution statements about the amount of Ethanol put into them that warn of possible damage. I want this gennie to last a long time and it will be stored with fuel in it so I want to eliminate as much risk as possible.

Personally I think it is a stupid fuel product and doesn't save the environment, adds to increases in the cost of corn products and it is subsidized by the government. We have plenty of fossil fuel and natural gas in North America so there is no real consumer demand for the Ethanol product which is why the fed needs to subsidize it.

I don't know about all the particulars yet, but a friend of mine found out $1,600 later that his 2 year old outboard shouldn't be run with the 10% ethanol product due to the break down of seals etc. Found an article: "In addition to absorbing water, ethanol also is a solvent. It can soften the interior of rubber hoses, and pieces come loose. Pickup tubes in the fuel tank can become brittle and either break off or flake, again sending along particles that can clog the fuel system."

Ethanol is a corrosive fuel that's why e85 cars are different they have special fuel lines and pumps to deal with the corrosion it hotter which equals. Faster your e85 vehicles get less gas mileage as well

The bad effects of ethanol are the big reason there is such a fight on against the EPA mandate of 15% ethanol in gasoline. The negative effects have been well documented...

My gas jobber has quit handling pure gasoline. I have also found Countrymark carries the 90 in pure gas (at least on the on-line listing). I haven't made it to them to try it out yet. Please report back.

The carbs and fuel system on my Motorcycle are very prone to problems from fuel system corrosion, rust, and the ethanol drying out all the rubber. I use Marvel Mystery oil in the fuel tank all the time. It keeps the steel tank from rusting, the aluminum carbs from corroding and keeps the rubber supple. I would rather have real gas, but the Marvel oil kind of helps prevent damage. I have had 4 of the same model, one I rode 94,000 miles, the second I rode 88,000 the third I totalled at 12,000 and this one has 54,000 miles. That's correct, close to 1/4 million miles without carb trouble. The stuff must work. I recommend it.

PS, the other crap on the ads for marvel Mystery oil talks about more power, better mileage, better starting, etc. I never experienced that, but a few ounces almost every time I gas up sure has protected the fuel system.

WWW.FUEL-TESTERS.COM Read and learn ethanol is bad for engins and gets you less m.p.g it's good if you are part of corn or ethanol lobby! Marthon has a fuel called REC 90 if you can find it, I three sations close by that have it about 30 to 40 cents more per gal. it's good stuff !
