LOL, I need that. Go riding through downtown and see how fast you get pulled over, LOL.
But I dont know about you but my CC license says it must be concealed. And transporting a firearm in a vehicle its supposed to be in a locked case. And since you cant hunt from a motorcycle (unless you handicapped), this really has no useful function.
Nope im a Indiana Native. At least the DNR rules say that all firearms must be in a locked case during transport. Unless you are transporting to your place of residence from place of purchase. My paper work for the CC states that it must be concealed as well(even in my vehicle), so maybe im just missing something....Quote:

I take it that you have a out of state permit and are not a permanent resident of the state of Indiana?

Checked with the Indiana Handgun law book and it says the same thing. What am I missing?
Article 1 section 3 (page 12 in the book)
A person shall not carry a handgun in any vehicle or on or about the person's body, except in the person's dwelling, or on the persons property, or fixed place of business, without a license issued under this chapter being in the persons possession."
Im pretty sure that makes the said holster highly illegal if you don't have the CC, and since the CC paper work states it must be conclealed it makes it illegal alltogether.
Am I missing something odvious here?
As far as I know, the DNR doesn't have anything to do with it. and the only thing Article one states is that you can't have one in a vehicle unless you have a LTCH. Which I take it that I could put a sweatband on my head and tuck my pistol in it if I wanted to.At least the DNR rules say that all firearms must be in a locked case during transport. movement by flotation of the vehicle at all times.
(14) An individual shall not operate a vehicle while a bow is present in or on the vehicle if
the nock of an arrow is in position on the string of the bow.
(b) Subsection (a)(9) does not apply to a person who is carrying a handgun if the person:
(1) has been issued an unlimited handgun license to carry a handgun under IC 35-47-2; or
(2) is not required to possess a license to carry a handgun under IC 35-47-2-2.
CC = Concealed Carry (sorry I guess that my own little abbreviation).
Ok ya that's weird my paper work (for application) states that im applying for a license to carry a concealed firearm on my persons or in my personal vehicle. But the law doesn't mention concealed at all, it just says you MUST have a license (on your person) to have a firearm in you possession.
Ill have to bring my paper work back from my office and look over it, maybe I missing something, but I could swear it specifically says concealed.
Ill look it up before I go further on that though.
ARGGGGGGHHH!!!!!!
See the link below as to why I slap my head....

Now don't feel as if I'm picking on you or anybody else, I just get truly amazed on how many people apply for a permit and fail to find out what it allows you to do with it.
I'll have to look, but I think the DNR actually changed the ruling on carrying a handgun for protection while hunting. I also believe that having a handgun in a holster complies with "secured".
(A) unloaded; and
(B) securely encased or equipped with and made inoperative by a manufactured
keylocked trigger housing mechanism.
They just don't want you flying through the woods with you shotgun above your head shouting "FREEDOM!"
(I have never done that........exactly.)
