My wife completed her L1 on 1/23. Her LCTH arrived on 4/17.

Hmm, maybe location has something to do with it.

I completed my application on 1/1, and mailed it in with a postal money order, paid in full the same day. I was told by the lady who did my prints that it would be up to 16 weeks.

It's been 16 weeks today. I have received absolutely nothing regarding my LTCH. I have lived in Indiana my entire life. I have absolutely no criminal record, not even a traffic violation. Heck, I have only had two changes of address in the past 20 years. I know they are flooded, but it would be nice to know that they are at least "processing" it, and that it's not been lost for 4 months while they pocket my money.

For now, I suppose I will wait some more. Maybe I'll get lucky and receive it someday.

I wonder if we have enough people on here that had to wait longer than 60 days (per Indiana Code) that we could have a class action law suit! :)

Danville PD or HCSD ? If you did the Sheriff, I wouldn't hold my breath. They seem to be sitting on apps for at least 2 weeks. I did L1 on 1-10 and paid HCSD same day. Nothing yet.

Its was filed through Danville PD. I'm hoping that they are good about sending the apps right off. My step-dad sent went through the process at the beginning of Jan and got it right around the 12 week mark. So they appeared to be on the ball of getting them out.

I stopped in at the Hendricks County Sheriff office this morning just to see if they could check on my app. The nice gal behind the window (she was very polite) told me that her husband filed the day before me and still does not have his. She checked with ISP on his a week ago and it hadn't been touched yet.

She did tell me they typically transmit to ISP the day after you pay. She said they wait until your criminal history is complete and then the Sheriff signs off on your app.

A little insight into the process.

    YMMV

Thanks I was wondering about that as the topic of location was being brought up. Since I was at the Sheriffs office maybe a total of 10 minutes I wasn't sure if there was more to the process then the few keystrokes while I handed them the cash. So I'm assuming that online apps are just a file that is passed from local to state, with a tag or two along the with the appropriate approvals. So it would seem it could vary by department.

I think that's a safe assumption. They didn't even ask me for my application number. I told them my name and they printed out my app, took my $10, thank you very much, and Bob's your uncle. Out the door in < 10 min. Little did I know the process had only begun. ;)

    Just paid my local fee

I just paid my local fee yesterday and did the online app and electronic fingerprinting and my town marshal told me it would be 8-12 weeks. Hopefully it does not take that long. I will let everyone on here know when it comes in.

Well I found this website when trying to find the LTCH wait times and since I got mine I decided to sign up and make my first post.

Filled out app online - 12/28/12
    Printed using L-1 - 1/3/13
Letter from local PD saying info was forwarded to state - 1/16/13
    Issued lifetime LTCH- 4/2/13
