I don't see how it's humorous to you. Not very Christian and that's all I'll say to you.

I never said it was humors. Maybe I should have put an eye roll on there? And the reason for the eye roll is because every week someone gets on here and rights the same thing you just wrote. This means they are just going on a rant before they read. Almost like that Christian remark you just made. I didn't say anything to deserve an idiotic remark like that

Did everything in early-mid Feb. I called them twice just to get an idea of where they were in the stack of paper applications. First time was 16, second time was 20. I called them because two of my emails went unanswered (14 days apart...not even an autoresponder).

I finally relented and sent a third email last Wednesday and got absolutely nothing back. Maybe I'm impatient, but in today's world it cannot take a lot of time to look over a criminal record. I'm a programmer and I know for a fact that most of that data can be pulled up electronically and I'm young enough that my entire record is electronic.

To paraphrase Forrest Gump: "I'm not a patient man."

I did some digging and learned about

    IC 35-47-2-6
Granting or rejecting initial application; renewals
Sec. 6. (a) Every initial application for any license under this chapter shall be granted or rejected within sixty (60) days after the application is filed.

So I went ahead and called one of our state representatives today. I spoke with Gloria Schroeder (staff of Senator Dennis Kruse) who said she would start looking into the delay of my application.

I realize that many of you have been waiting for longer than I have, but truthfully...the law is the law. I've gotten parking tickets for not following the law. There's no reason the state can't follow it either. My background is clean (a speeding ticket, a parking ticket, and one accident aren't grounds for anything serious), I even applied to the ISP and went quite a ways before finding out about some health problems.

Maybe this will go nowhere, but I think it's important to utilize whatever resources I have at my disposal to assist myself (and maybe others) to getting their permit.

This has been discussed in DETAIL on here...there is NO PENALTY for the STATE if they don't meet that guideline set by that law.

It's a law..with no penalty for breaking it...so good luck getting anywhere with it !

That's all that Micah was saying when he said "here we go again"...it's because that exact law has been discussed in this thread...ALOT...and some of us have even spoke to the ISP about it too...and those answers are in this thread as well.

Letters and calls have went out to as high as the Governor's office about it...but nothing will likely get done.

Before calling someone else's remark stupid, you should spell check. With that said, maybe you're right and maybe someone else might have done this before. If more people do it, then more attention will be given to the issue at hand. Maybe it will go nowhere and I'll just need to patient -- but it doesn't hurt to try. We elect our Representatives for things like this -- to address issues and problems in government. It's my right, just as much as it is yours, to utilize those I elect. Who knows, maybe if everyone started contacting their representatives the ISP would get the resources they seem to need OR people would start getting their permits sooner OR the law would be changed. Either way, it doesn't hurt to try again and again.

You were given that comment because you chose to wear your religion on your "sleeve". I sort of assumed that Christianity frowns upon the idea of laughing at people (or eye rolling, which is being just as negative and judgemental).

For now, I will keep InGoers updated. Gloria is supposed to call me back and I'll happily pass it along to INGO if there's something to pass on. I truly feel bad for those of you who have waited longer than I have, I certainly hope you get yours first and I don't meet to try and "bypass" anyone.

Well as I said previously, maybe you're right. Truth be told, I'm not digging through 677 pages (in just this thread alone). I do know one thing about government: they rarely take action because of just ONE complaint or even 100 complaints. If more people spoke up to the people who write the laws set the wages then who knows what may or may not happen.

It doesn't HURT anyone to try and it's my time wasted, not anyone else's. So I'm not sure I understand the issue.

First off you are blowing this way out of portion. I hope you can calm down and have an awesome day. :patriot:

Before calling someone else's remark stupidQUOTE]

I seem to be having problems finding where I said anything about you or your comment being stupid? With that being said, if you got this worked up over someone typing 4 word and a picture of someone eating popcorn…..I honestly think you carrying a gun is a bad idea lol.

So….now you admit to being lazy? Then don’t be surprised when someone rolls their eyes at you. on the other hand there is a wonderful search feature on the top right of your screen that makes things so much easier……you can insert a stupid comment here if you want to add words to what I am saying.

Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.

    Online Submission: 6/1/2013
    L-1: 6/4/2013
    Paid Local: 6/5/2013

    Patiently waiting...

Hopefully you stay patient. L-1 seems to be at three months right now. The flood of apps has died down and they seem to be getting things handled a little faster, except non-L1.
