February 2008, I am at Triad at Shootrite (2 days pistol, 2 days carbine, 2 days shotgun) in Langston, Alabama (Jenny) with Clint Smith of Thunder Ranch. Smith used to teach it in Tejas but now that TR is in Oregon and Oregon is under 4 feet of snow during January and February, he travels.
We are behind cover doing one handed shooting drills. I drop in one round Remington #00 into my Shotgun Specialites (before they sold to Wilson) FBI Model. I close action with left hand, right hand behind back. My partner is acting as safety officer hovering above me.
Upon shutting action the weapon discharges clipping side of cover. Safety is on and I did not touch trigger.
I show spent round to instructor who looks at it and then throws it over his shoulder. Gun performs perfectly rest of class including s-load of Rolling Thunders that we shoot second day.
Eez gon, eez not safe.

I had my first misfire go off 10 seconds later last week... Was a sobering experience. I carry my firearms loaded not chambered, except my sidearm. It's cocked and locked. I really appreciate the input, feedback and stories. A man that knows everything is usually the one that needs the most education..

Why would you lie about being a doctor? Most of 'em still think all lawyers are rich.
I guess if I was looking to practice my god-complex, oversized, arrogant ego, I'd pretend to be a doctor. Anyone care to guess what kind of law I practice?
I prefer you refer to my snarkiness as "awesome snarkiness". I did not attend 6 years of snarky school for nothing.
