Did you intentionaly rough that girl up a bit for the aged battlefield pickup look? Thats one sexy ak! Thats similar to one im wanting to get. I have been hanging onto a donkey dong for a while to make it.

Nope, it's a cheap AK so I just treat her rough and run her hard and put her away hot & dirty. The finish on the Romanian M10 is definitely not stellar (as I've found out). I've debated taking the Rustoleum High Heat Grill Paint to her, but I'm starting to like the used and abused look...

well man i think it looks bad ass and the fact that its natural wear makes it even better! I need to get a cheap one and just wear the crap out of it. But heck, anymore none of them are cheap. Ive never had an m10 so maybe ill have to look into one. Thanks for posting the awesome pics!

Since there were several MAK-90s displayed not too long ago, I figure I might show off this guy, milled MAK-90 with a home made stock set (my garage was a mess, but the result made it worth the saw dust pile).

Thought about it. Fitted one on, went immediately back to the slant. I just like the way it shoots and looks with the slant. $.02

I can respect that. I do like your wood. I've thought about doing my Polish 1960 wood in that color but I've just been too lazy. I've done some AKM wood using Minwax Red Mahogany stain followed by Polyurethane semi-gloss. I'll post a couple pics when I get the time.
