Certainly Zimmerman has every right to visit a gun factory, but his attorneys are correct that the timing of the gun factory visit is not the best. Zimmerman is suing NBC and his attorneys are pursuing sanctions against the Florida prosecutors for allegedly withholding case discovery evidence while the Justice Department is still actively investigating him for possible federal violations. Maybe George should keep a low profile while these matters are settled. Zimmerman probably did not expect an unknown rat to run to TMZ with this story but he probably is watched on a regular basis.
On another note did you notice the choice of wording in several instances that the author of the article on Yahoo used. Clearly the wording was chosen for inflammatory effect. For example ... "murder defendant George Zimmerman win a controversial acquittal" ... "the semi-automatic handgun " ... "shooting death of Martin, an unarmed black teenager" ... The liberal media just drives me crazy.

#1 The problem is not visiting. It's the fact that it became public knowledge and pictures were taken which make him look like he is celebrating killing someone.

#2 The gun was several inches away from Martin's chest when it was fired, though it was against the clothing, hanging away from his chest....so the "any gun would jam" argument? I doubt it.

#3 If I wanted a good combat shotgun, I'd be going for something proven. Remington, Benelli and Mossburg come to mind.

It appears from this article that G.Z. is as stupid as I thought he was. Wait till mainstream media gets hold of this.

Re most of the "no big deal" posts, despite the lack of purple I'm assuming that you are being sarcastic. Otherwise, you really need to get out more so that you understand why this is really dumb and makes responsible gun owners look bad.

If he would just keep a low profile, it will fade from public consciousness and DOJ will realize that there's nothing to prosecute.

You can say "the hell with public opinion" all you want, but public opinion drives votes, and votes drive legislation that we don't want to see.

With you being far outnumbered here I think that would make you want to take a closer look at what you bleieve to see it perhaps you are in error.

I, for one, refuse to bow down to what the gun bigots believe I should do with my life and how I choose to exercise my freedoms. If you're that concerned with "public opinion" I suggest you turn in your guns and make obeisance to the Brady Bunch. That will certainly get the media on your side, but I don't think that will stop them from still agitating for more gun laws.

I'm probably going to have to tour Keltec to get my hands on a PMR-30. Seems the guy in the photo needs to get back to work and keep up with Dr,and for there innovative weapons

“We certainly would not have advised him to go to the factory that made the gun that he used to shoot Trayvon Martin through the heart,” Shawn Vincent, a spokesman for attorney Mark O’Mara,

what an idiot lawyer. Who would make that comment about a client who paid them TONS of $$ of defend him?

My viewpoint might be outnumbered on this forum (but judging by messages I've received over the years, there are many like-minded folks who just don't want to endure the abuse), but the typical INGO mindset is heavily outnumbered among the general public. Regardless of who is right, we ignore that at our peril. One need look no further than the margin by which the Supreme Court upheld that firearms ownership is an individual right.

I think Kel-Tec should hook him up with a commemorative PF-9 at no cost to replace the one that has been stolen from him by Herr Holder and crew, preferably one with it's own unique serial number. Something like "FYJAAKMBA1" meaning "FY Jesse and Al, Kiss My Biracial A$$1" (the "FY" part is silent  :p), and an engraved quote from the white guy residing in the White House "...If I had a son, he'd act like Trayvon." would be quite nice, I think.
