I am curious to what you are putting on those rifles for the 2014 season?

I have a Lucid HD7 with a flip to the side magnifier which I may or may not run. Look forward to March!

This'll be my first year, I will be using a Vortex Viper 1-6x that I got from A&A. Haven't shot it too much yet but really liking it so far.

Dang, Good choice on optic and who to get it from.

I purchased the Bushnell AR Optic with the lighted BR reticle. 1x4 FFP, lighted reticle for under $280 and it seems like a good value for the money. The 1 power makes the image slightly larger than when you look through the optic but overall it seems like a great choice for the price. The next one I would look at is the 1x4 by Vortex, but it is in the $500 range. In general, any 1x4 lighted optic should work well for INMG and budget will dictate what you should look at and when in doubt ask A&A what you should use. Great products and the warranty/customer service is outstanding.

If you can wait, ask to look through a few optics at a match and see what people are shooting. Usually if you see more than one of something, (especially on the veterans guns) you know it is something of quality and it will hold up to the abuse of 3gun.

Good luck and I'm like everyone else and can't wait to go shooting.

I've got a Tru Glow Red Dot, but I mostly shoot multigun at ACC so it's set dead on at 25 yards. If I go to someplace where I have to shoot at 100 or more all I have to fall back on is flip up irons.

I know they are not reputable to be accurate but the one I had mounted the past year was dead on at 100yrds all day long

I'll be shooting Tac-Limited again this year using either an Aimpoint or a Primary Arms T1 clone. At the distances we shoot in INMG (sub 300 yards) I rarely see a need for a 1x4-1x6 but a lot of guys use them. My tune would probably change if I shot regional/national matches where they have more distance though.

On the flip magnifier, just remember during the match if you use it you will be put in Tac-Optics.

[STRIKE]If [/STRIKE]When I ask to look through that, I consider it your responsibility to tell me "no," .... for my own good.

If you have trouble saying no to it, I'll put a Leupold Mark VI 1.1-8X in front of your face. That might distract you a little.
