    His old account was shootered.

Can't really call the second on a shill account, not really after that amount of time. The chances of a forgotten account or password are pretty high. It would have looked better, and been better on his end if he had just contacted someone and asked about getting access to it again.

Speaking of, is there a way to do that? How do you contact someone on here about something like that without an active account?

The accounts have both been shootered for good cause.

Good evening, Mr. AngryRooster. Your mission, AR, should you choose to accept it is to look for the LT6 light in the sky. Follow it to the source and give the password "Bacon". They will get the request sent to the hotline in the Bugatti.
As always should any member of your INGO force be caught or killed, Fenway will disavow all knowledge of your actions.
This tape will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck AR."

While it might look differently from general membership's point of view, suffice to say we don't want to reveal all of our secrets.
All of the above was eliminated by evidence to the contrary.

Even without all the insider tricks I was pretty sure it was the same account. The sentence structure was very similar between both accounts among a couple of other things. Also pretty sure I found him on FB as well. Since it was mentioned earlier I looked. If I'm correct then he hasn't said anything about what has transpired.

I was actually curious about the account recovery question though. Not necessarily with him in mind. I have 3 referrals here, my wife and two other friends. My wife usually reads over my shoulder when shes interested. For one of the friends I just purchased a site supporter membership as a gift a couple months ago. We both have backups of each others information. The other friend, well he isn't active on here much and has a habit of forgetting things. I can almost guarantee that one day I will get a call and he will ask me how to recover his account. This has happened before though not here. So if he loses access to his email he registered with and can't remember his password how would he go about getting his account back without someone playing middle man? I've not seen a way for someone without an active account to contact any staff.

It is possible to contact the Administrator without an active account. That would be Fenway. He wears a lot of hats so it could take him a while to get back to your buddy. My wife will have to join an Amish community if anything happens to me because she can't remember passwords and has no electronic knowledge. I use password keeper on my iPhone to store all info for all things I need to remember. With the different rules for passwords and the need to have to change monthly for security purposes it is really helpful.

Jot down your buddys info and plug it in some place. Then charge him a box of Ammo fee everytime he has to ask for it :ar15:

Not sure on the admin contact. I may have to log out and go on a hunt. I know most places have a password recovery procedure. Most of the time it involves entering your user name and then it will reset your password to a temporary one via your registered email. If you lose access to that email though you are generally screwed. I went through this with Steam. I've got several Steam games that I used to play on Windoze many years ago. I haven't used Windoze though for about 5 years. Now Steam has a Linux client and I wanted to try it out. My Steam account was under some old Yahoo email that I didn't remember. In order to recover my account I had to submit a ticket, wait, about a week later I got an email at my current address asking me to prove who I was. I had to scan or take pictures of the game packages with the CD key and email them back. I asked what I would have to do if I didn't have the packages and had ordered my games online. They told me I would have to provide them with the CC# I used to buy the games and they would match it up. I'm really glad I bought physical discs. There's no way I'm sending them my CC# in an email.

Long story short, it was a nightmare to get access to something I forgot and had already paid for. I don't plan on playing middle man if my friend forgets his info. He forgets things like this and doesn't share his info with anyone. At some point he will forget, especially since he doesn't visit much. As far as software goes, I like to use KeePassX. It's a good, multi-platform manager. Getting him to use something like that is unlikely though.
