The last 1500 A young man observed the no loaded gun signs & promptly removed his mag from his S&W m&p outside and went in ,paid and proceeded to the check in table ,handed his pistol to the nice officer ...barrel first ,he forgot about the round in the chamber, officer went nuts & told him that he had pointed a loaded weapon directly at him & had no business with a firearm ,felt bad for the kid but he did screw up .I did learn there is some etiquitte with handing a firearm to someone ,finger off trigger , grip first.Tried this at this 1500 & lucky me got the same officer. He made the comment on how that not many people hand a gun to him in that manner ,he seemed to appreciate the technique :)

I am against the stater requiring gun training in order to issue a permit, but then when I spot somebody acting like that it makes me think ....

Really? A stealing advocate? Nothing would kill a good event faster...

You gave me negative rep for "Stealing is bad."

Where in the text: Damn. If that guy would have kept his mouth shut, he would have gotten away with it. No way the cops can do anything if the owner is blaming an entire group of people. did I say that I advocated stealing or that stealing wasn't "bad?" We had a thief, then we had a victim who started falsely accusing by "going nuts and accusing everyone around that area." I never offered an opinion of what I thought of stealing.

I'll return the rep favor to yea.

    Sorry about that.

Saying 'He could have gotten away with it if he just...' seemed to advocate it to me. If you didn't mean that, I apologize.

I think we can both agree that if people get away with stealing stuff from vendors, the event will turn to crap. Personally I'd like to keep the show.

I like the contrasting Pauls and Strat.

That's a nice strat in your avatar. What's in the bridge?

I'm a strat guy too...I've got one of the 50th Anniversary strats and a 2001 Hwy 1 with a '57 replacement neck and trem and the Dave Gilmour DG20 setup in it. I've had 10 strats over the last 5 years...finally settled on these two as my favorites.

    Sorry for the thread hijack....

i bet it stands for Wrath of God. i apologize for the call out, but it might be something to consider changing. just sayin. :)

Yep- it stands for Wrath of God- if you check my sig, read the verse you'll see the significance it has to me.

Not trying to be mean, but this is forum for Gun owners in Indiana, USA - right?? I'm sure someone from the UK will understand that. Just like I don't care that they call a welsh dish (liver, onions, breadcrumbs) '******s'. (Welsh faggots: Eating Welsh faggots with Gelert - Special Recipes)

fair enough, but i thought it odd as just this week someone on another US forum i frequent made a post using the term WOG- and this guy was from Texas and he meant it. While it is british, i wouldnt label it as obscure. and to be honest, i have seen plenty of that sort thing on other gun forums (namely the smith & wesson forum....bunch of racist hilljacks in that place).

    again, my apologies.
