Long story short, the "nightmare scenario" actually happened. Cross dressing man went into the women's restroom at a BBQ joint in Texas. Not Transgender, just a man who liked to wear women's clothes. He took advantage of the situation and entered the womens restroom because he felt more comfy there. Owner asked him to use the proper bathroom based on his plumbing. Crossdresser complied and everyone went back to their lives with no hard feelings.

Cowpoke in hot pants stirs transgender uproar at Texas BBQ joint | Fox News

    FTA:
"The cross-dressing trucker told the staff that he felt uncomfortable using the men’s room – but agreed to comply with their wishes."...

..."As for the Texas cowpoke with a fondness for hot pants – John says there are no hard feelings."

Too bad more people cant be so agreeable.

Think I just figured out why a certain INGO poster hates Texas so much?

Seriously, does anyone else foresee an unfunded government mandate coming, about unisex restroom construction...a'la ADA "reasonable accommodations?" Or, would that constitute an unnacceptable "separate but unequal" arrangement, and forcing everyone to pee together is the only way to avoid denying Corporal Klinger a vital component of his "sisterhood experience?"

In all honesty, until this became a political issue, how many people even took notice of these sorts of things, much less acted on it?

How long before the "furries" demand the right to pee on fire plugs?

I'm really hoping furries make the civil rights push. It will expose these garbage movements for the joke that they are.
If one community knows how to make a mockery of anything and everything, it's furries.

Virtually none, I bet. In a public restroom, who even makes eye contact to even know?

Under the current administration, that would be discrimination. You cannot separate transgenders. That is akin to black/white restrooms.

Now the public school mandate is heating up, as districts are trying to deal with the administrations arm twisting, whilst not angering 99.8% of the parents who pay taxes to their district. It's getting ugly in school board meetings.

Hardly any. The "real" transgender folk tend to be convincing enough in their looks (read: they're actually transgendered) that people didn't seem to notice/question it. The only people these laws are affecting are, as in the OP, men in dresses who I would hardly deem "transgender".

If you're good at being transgendered nobody is going to notice, and isn't the whole point to look convincingly like the sex you aspire to be? If you won't go through the work of looking like the opposite sex how can you tell me you really want to be it?

You guys might be surprised at who calls him or herself a furry. As with any group, including INGO, there are a few loud, obnoxious ones that make a big noise, and there are others who are quiet, embrace life with a similar view as the former, but not as vocal, and are generally kind, good-hearted people. Some wear "fursuits", but not all.

Those that I know are mostly the latter group: kind, good-hearted people. Of note: Many of them are also gun owners.

I find it similar to the arguments against homosexuality. Sure, there are some who are "militant" about it; the "We're here, we're queer, we're in your face!" types, but thankfully, I've not even heard of those in a long time. I had a patient recently (in the last year or so) who identified the man with him as his spouse. In the course of treatment, he mentioned that he is a gun owner. I informed him about a group called Pink Pistols, which if you know nothing of them, are a group of homosexuals who believe, as most of us do, that being armed is how you defend yourself from those who would take what you have, be it your property, your sense of security, or your life. I have no connection with that group, I only know their name. Other than treating him, I have no connection to that patient. I just don't want to see anyone feel alienated or alone in a time of need. I suppose I could as easily have identified the group as "gun owners who happen to be homosexual". The phrasing is not important, the idea is.

Moral: Be careful who you mock. Especially in these times, we gun owners need all the friends we can get.

When the SHTF, I don't care if someone identifies as a tiger or a lioness, nor if someone is gay or straight... as long as he or she is on my side and SHOOTS straight.

As to the bathroom thing... Good on them, both the "cowpoke" and the business owner. They came to a resolution that worked for everyone, and settled it like adults.

    Blessings,
    Bill

I shouldn't be surprised about anything anymore but I constantly am. I'd never heard of this until this thread. I guess we all find different things to fill our minds, to occupy our time...some are just weirder than others.

Also, I thought Furries was a term for the Walmart neckbeards flipping 22 Ammo in the parking lot.

Yeah, kinda like this guy. Damn he's good at what he does. (not a TG but a VERY talented makeup artist that happens to have a good canvas for his work to illustrate BogWalker's point)

Well until the SHTF, I'm going to try and stay away.

Call me old fashioned, but I was raised to be who you are, not what you have a fetish for.

Honestly, it may well depend on what **** is hitting which fan. It might be rather simplistic to assume just because everyone that has a gun will all be fighting on the same side. We have many wars to look at to support this is more than likely to be the case. But yeah, if the SHTF scenario is "confiscate all guns!" hopefully, we'd all be on the same side on that one issue.

Good point. What if the SHTF is an animal uprising? :dunno:
