I had hopes this would be a Lieberman Cheney style debate. But it was any thing but.


Pence nailed it.

First thing said was "I thought Kaine put Pence on the defensive" so much bull.

Well, Daniels-Pence. Pence has the "evangelical" baggage that would cost him votes. Daniels would appeal to a wider base. Also I like Daniels a lot more than Pence.

I can buy that. I loved Daniels. I was sad when it retired from politics. I have hopes he will come back.

I like how Pence handled the abortion thing talking about how Kaine may or may not support it but Hillary does etc. Handled very well I think.

I have to admit. When he went there, I was sure he was going to have a "Mourdock" moment. He did okay.

The woman on PBS just said "for most of the nation which watches all of the 30 second snips on the today show it will appear that Kaine won, however for those that watched the full 90 minutes tonight they will see it differently." So in other words Pence won, but after the media chops it up and edits it then it'll seem as if Kaine won... Couldn't have said anything much more truthful I feel like without realizing it.

I can't believe how hard Pence raked Kaine over the coals.

Good lord is Pence a good debater. He made Kaine look like an angry blabbering child.

That was clear Pence victory. Kaine could not control himself. He kept trying to quote Trump over and over and it didn't really help him. Seemed like he tried to throw whatever he could at the wall and see what stuck. Pence was cool, calm, and collected. Trump knows how to pick them. I have been very critical of Pence in the past but I have to give him credit for tonight.

Pence did excellent IMHO. Kaine just interrupts and acts like an a$$.

I dislike Hillary/Kaine even more than I already did if that was even possible.

I agree 100%. Didn't think I could despise Hillary / Kaine more than I did but tonight made me despise them even more. I wanted to puke every time Kaine interrupted and then followed it up with his head cocked sideways & that one goofy eyebrow raised.

What I find most amazing about Kaine is that he directly admitted he abandoned his religious convictions to support hillary.

Nope, that was just the camera and the mic recording Kaine being Kaine. What Pence did was to remain calm and act like and adult, which provided a nice contrast. I hope his boss learned something.

Moderator will never be seen again but she was kinda hot.

After the first 30 minutes, my wife refused to watch anymore saying that "Kaine is a royal D-bag, he is talking over Pence and the mod because his opinion and comments are the only ones that matter just like any other liberal. I can't watch this because it's making me mad". I hope the rest of the Country walked away with the same impression as my wife: Kaine is an a$$hat. Not that this debate made any difference in how we intend to vote, but further confirmed our opinions. Pence remained calm and represented well. I was quite pleased with his performance.

I've not been a big fan of Pence. But he did really well last night. He absolutely destroyed the whining, petulant, crybaby Kaine.

Pence did an outstanding job. It was probably the most positive thing that has happened for the Trump campaign in the last month. Unfortunately, I doubt it will make a hill of beans difference in the final outcome.

It's still Hillary vs. Trump.
