I especially liked the wheel of fortune reference.

Tell me Those who read modern translations do they use LORD to signify YHWD, GOD to signify Elohim and do they italicize words that are inserted for English syntax?

I learned of ApologetiX a few years ago...and yes, some rhymes are weak and forced, but unlike System of a Down, they don't just insert a word that will rhyme regardless of context. I just think it's good, clean fun.

Each version makes an editorial decision on such matters and notates it in their version notes.

Is there a specific version you are curious about?

    I vote "cheesy".

Most will use LORD for Yahweh, God for Elohim, the LORD (your/our) God for Elohim Yahweh.

I attended mass one time back in 79 or 80 with some Catholic friends. I was told I was lucky to attend as it was a Latin High Mass? He said it was an unusual thing at the time to have. I found it very interesting.

The Traditional Latin Mass, or Extraordinary Format, has been coming back in parishes all over the country. Here in Indianapolis there is an Extraordinary format Mass almost every day of the week. High Sung Mass is at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in downtown Indy every Sunday at 11:30AM and it is a very reverent, somber, and beautiful Mass. The priest there, Father Ryan McCarthy is very gifted in that he also does the Anglican Use Mass, the Ordinary Format, as well as the Extraordinary format. He is also a diocesan priest not affiliated with the FSSP or SSPX.

    Dominus vobiscum!
