They used to race two forklifts at a place I used to work. Management used to place bets on the two. Last I knew, they were forced to sell a forklift and fired a few people... :):

His luck will run out eventually.

In Lafayette a few years back, we had a story about an off-duty parking attendant in the city parking garage that came in at night to "play" on the Cushman electric carts the facility used.

He brought a friend with him, they got on a cart, and began racing up and down, back and forth through the parking garage.

He evidently lost control on a downhill corner and slammed into a structural concrete post.

Cushman cart was a total loss, as well as one LIFE!

Don't recall if it was the driver or not?

Idiocy usually catches up sooner or later!

I DID learn a VERY neat trick to do with a forklift, and it's SAFE!

Bet someone you can pick up a quarter with a forklift!?

They will undoubtedly tell you that you're CRAZY!

Lay a quarter on the floor in front of the forklift. Pull up and set one fork down covering almost half of the quarter. Put a slight bit of pressure on the forks (down), and back up SLOWLY!

That quarter, if you do it properly, will jump up and backward right on top of your fork. A lot like the old kids game, "Tiddly-Winks".

I've won more beer than I care to admit with this trick, and put that "I can't believe this crap" look on MANY faces.

It takes a little practice, but not much. It's really VERY easy to do!

Well darwin does catch up.........And at times it takes a hard lesson to teach others about life.

In the Navy we AOs used standup raymond reach forklifts.....Well one day Kirby was doing that exact same spinning BS, it was something we ALL had done (we were all about 18-20 years old)..........
Well it cost him his life.He slammed into a stanchion....and was crushed.

The impact unfortunately did not kill him instantly. He was pinned for a few moments until medical arrived (we were instructed not to remove him). It was the first time that I have ever heard a man scream due to pain and fear. It was also the first time that I watched a friend die.
So yes the video may be comical to some extent.....Let's just hope that someone learned something from it.
