What about stuffing your camo into your 70s era combat boots and blousing them? I saw that at a Mid-September, sunny day gun show and started laughing.

I have a lot of friends in the trades that wear the old school camo for the pocket, they dry quick, and they are cheap. As I like to say to people, why should we have to join the military or be an LEO to get cool gear.

But, dudes, don't stuff your camo into old combat boots, on dry, sunny, warm days. It looks funny.

Winter time, hunting, or other appropriate explainable situations are okay.

Personally I dont like the BDUs at all. Comfortable, I guess. Painful memories of wearing the same set for 4 days in the mississippi summer heat doing field exercises because my laundry was lost, ya still kinda getting over the stench.

I almost purchased a camo jacket, and pants on Friday. Training outside in the winter is cold, and regularly wet. Lots of hunting stuff is warm and waterproof.... Doesn't take a math genius to put those two together:)

Ended up with some Brown Walls stuff at a third the price :)

You guys have completely missed it. Indiana redneck guys wear camo because it makes Indiana redneck girls horny (sorry if I can't use that word).

Where are these girls I can't seem to find them? :dunno:

I wear my old BDU's once in a while, not too often though. But my hunting camos I generally keep put away just for hunting. I have other insulated wear for regular wear. But normally just wear layers anyways.

good stuff. I have known some guys to go hunting in the morning, stop at a gunshow during the day, then head back out for the last couple hours, so they were wearing camo. This was during goose season.

Personally, I don't wear camo unless I'm hunting or I'm at work (see avatar), and since I'm not at that job anymore, I don't wear camo at work anymore.

I'm not so concered about the guys/gals wearing the camo at the gun shows but the thing that gets me........

...the tacticool guy who is an ex "Navy SEAL, SF, Ranger, Airborne, etc..." selling the jerky and UTG rails saying that's what he used when he was on the teams. That makes me laugh .
