I'd been looking at a Px4 Storm at the local Dunham's Sporting Goods for a while. It had been there at least a few months, and the price got dropped $100, so the old man surprised me yesterday and took me to go pick it up. :):

So far the only disappointment is that it was listed at Dunham's as the 15 round compact model. It is not, it's the 13 round subcompact. :noway: I don't mind a whole lot, I'm going to use it to carry mainly so small is good. But if I'd noticed that at the store, I would have tried to get the price down further! Lol. It still has the same capacity as my Taurus PT111 G2, which is about all I have to compare it to. My only other handgun is my ancient Llama 22.

We shot two mags of Blazer Brass ammo through it, had one FTF that was very minor and easy to clear, that was probably partially my fault (I'm bad about "limp wrist" at times) and the old man thinks he didn't put quite enough oil on it, after that he oiled it again and shot another full mag, no problems.

This little gun is very accurate! I didn't touch the sights at all, and my first shot was a bullseye. Every shot when pretty darn close to where I was aiming, a lot closer than my Taurus. The rotating barrel assembly in these guns is a joy, it very effectively eliminates felt recoil and really helps minimize muzzle rise and helps you keep the gun on your target.

Overall, it's a bit fatter and a bit heavier than the Taurus, but it has less severe angles. Everything is smooth and kind of rounded off, so it's more comfortable to carry and a little easier to conceal. I think the Taurus is more comfortable to hold in my hands, but the Beretta obviously feels better to shoot, and shoots more accurately.

I think this will make a great EDC, especially for women since it's light and it does such a great job of reducing recoil.

    Now it's holster shopping time!

Also, who else has a Px4 Storm? What do you love about it, or dislike about it? Does it have ammo that you've found that works well, or doesn't work well ? Any tips or suggestions definitely welcome, this is my first Beretta, the old man used to have an M9, but that's about the extent of it.

Edit: ignore my ignorance about the rotating barrel. While the full size and the compact version of the Beretta Px4 Storm have rotating barrel assemblies, this subcompact model DOES NOT! Sorry for the confusion!

Welcome to the club! I fell into a deal for a px4 in .40 and it instantly became favorite. I now have 3 full size, 2 compacts, and a subcompact 9mm. Despite their "space gun" look, I find them more comfortable to shoot than anything else I own.

I really love the versacarry for the subcompact. If you ever have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message.

Those are definitely sweet looking holsters! I didn't look at everything, but they seemed to be priced reasonably as well. I'll have to look into these more!

And wow! You definitely have quite the collection! That's awesome :rockwoot: I will definitely send you a message if I have any questions :)

I enjoy the PX4 line up. Having the s/c, the c, and full size. Carrying each one as needed.

I moved from the 92F to the PX4 as my main carry option so I replaced the safeties/decockers with one that resembles the 92F. I do think it makes the safety easier to operate.

The only problem I had with mine arose from a limp wristed hold. It would ftf fte if a person did not have a firm grip. It was accurate and ergonomically excellent. Just seemed to be a bit more sensitive than my other pistols to a poor grip. Good gun, and it's rounded edges lent itself to carry wonderfully. As a bonus you can keep your eye out for a cx4 and have an excellent carbine that will share full sized magazines that is 100 percent reliable. unlike a lot of the glock compatible carbines the cx4 isn't finicky at all.
