    Why is it always the 10mm?


    I've found 3 over the years working on cars that were "hidden" in various pockets.
    2 between an engine bracket and accessory that you could not see without removing the bracket and another tucked inside a door panel skin.
    These were not mine, they were donated by other mechanics.
    The did NOT want to be found.
    I've lost 2. I think they go to the same universe that socks do.

    Believe it or not I'm missing a 9mm socket, who loses a 9mm socket? ME!

    I think the real question is: Why would your 9mm socket ever leave the toolbox to begin with.

    When I worked at a used car dealership that handled almost all Gm stuff, we used to half-joke that once you used an 8mm to disconnect the battery, you could disassemble the rest of the car with a 10mm, 13mm and 15mm.
