Citizens? damn straight. POTUS? Not usually, but I’d say when the president has to endure the manufactured ****storm this has been, he has a few “**** you’s” stacked up that he gets to hand out.

Sounds like AG Barr may be the one that gets to hand those out. I think we're in for another interesting couple years; or at least I hope so.

I see it differently, as better than indicted, tried and aquitted

In the former, the prosecution thought it could convict and was proven wrong; in the latter the prosecution didn't even think there was enough evidence to make the attempt
I think we can agree on acquitted. I’d take it a bit further though. Not necessarily exonerated, but acquitted.

There is an awful lot of assumption of guilt in here.

Remember when you assumTrump you make an ass of u and Trump.

Seems a lot like virtue signaling.

A lot of stones being cast.

    Glass houses and all that.

No sin/crime has ever been committed that YOU/I are/am not capable of.

If a citizen's use of deadly force goes before a grand jury and they return no indictment, do you conclude it was a good shoot or that the grand jury's failure to indict "... leaves a lot of questions ..."? Asking for a compadre

It could mean that it was a good shoot, or that it was a bad shoot and there just wasn’t enough evidence to say it was a bad shoot from a legal standpoint. Looking at something strictly from a legal standpoint doesn’t rule out the possibility that it happened but just couldn’t be proven. The system is designed to work this way. I think it’s the same case with this report. My issue is that so many people hate the Democrats so badly that they’re taking this as “my team won” so it must have been a good shoot and can’t be questioned. We just need to be careful about the sheep mentality of blindly following because it suits us. As jamil said, Trump might have just gotten in his own way on this and didn’t succeed. Failure doesn’t negate intent or the attempt.

I’m completely open to the idea that it was an empty witch hunt from the start, but the report raises a lot of questions that we can’t just ignore because it makes the Democrats look bad. There just doesn’t seem to be any nuance anymore.

I’m not nearly as concerned about my political team winning as I am the very real possibility of the kind of tyranny for which this country was founded to guard against. If a US President was using his power to disrupt investigations into possible criminal activity, that’s very bad. There are things in that report that tend to clear him, and a lot of things that seem to say “well it looks like this happened but we just can’t jump the legal hurdles to move forward.” Ultimately, the investigation is clearing him of charges and that’s the way the system is supposed to work. I just think we need to be careful not to let our support of the home team make us accept everything we like to hear.

There's ways to handle a situation like that, and convincing the American people that they're being run by a Russian puppet without presenting a single shred of evidence, is not how you do it.

That's how you destroy all faith in the country and pit the people against each other. Presenting well researched and well founded evidence of wrong doing, and allowing the public to decide for themselves how to take that information, is how to handle that situation correctly. Assange did a good job of that, for the most part. He just drops the evidence on you and lets you make your own conclusions on it. That doesn't pit people against each other because it's right there in writing and requires conspiracy theorist logic to argue against, which doesn't fly for most people.

Opinion piece journalism is one of the most destructive things in this country at the current time, regardless of what side of the isle it's coming from.

So he tried to take over the Russia probe nearly a dozen times. He tried multiple avenues to get Mueller fired, and even said it would be the end of his Presidency. But somehow that’s not obstruction?

How can one be charged / guilty of something that never happened?

Well the Dems seem to still be diving down the rabbit hole. Desperately looking for a camera and a microphone and relevance.

Network TV did not interrupt prime time for special reports on the release of the report. No cable at home so no idea what’s going on there. If the major alphabet channels aren’t focused on the report it probably means there is nothing real in it.

Hope this finally dies the quick death it should have long ago.

The democrats are NUTS. Lunatics that no competent person wants running this country. The more they harp on about Trump the more and more people who leave them.
I expected them to try impeachment no matter what the outcome of mueller was. They're nuts. Country is not their priority. They're the real traitors and i mean that. I consider the leaders of that party traitors. They know what they are doing. They know they are liars akd tearing the country apart and whats going to happen.

Very top of the page on the standard IPhone News app. Shocking I know.

And this headline would be accurate. The Mueller report revealed that the Russians we're able to hack into the voting system of a local election board in Florida in 2016. This was something unknown until today. It still isn't clear which county or precinct because the election board hasn't reported it.

That doesn't mean Trump was involved, but we already knew Russia was / is actively trying to interfere in our elections. Turns out they were pretty successful. Much more so then I'm sure they even expected to be.
