    This whole thing stems from the social justice mindset of never back down. Say something stupid... get called on it? You can never admit you were wrong, so you have to double-down and try to weasel out of it with semantics and stretches of logic.

    I just don't get the willingness of journos and politicians to also jump in and back her up, when they know for a fact she said something stupid.
