How does yearly renewal work? I can PM you if it's complicated. Just want to make sure I'm good to go for the new year. :):

In the past they have always sent out a letter (or email? I'm old and forget things) to let us know when it's time for renewal and then we mail a check in. I would expect it fairly soon. I'll shoot you a PM when I get it to make sure you do as well.

You could have it done in a couple of weeks.:D

Sniper match on Jan 1 and the NRL22 match a few days later on the first Saturday (weather permitting). If the sniper match is like the last one, it is centerfire at 100 yards, prone. Load one round at a time (bolt or semi). 20 seconds to load and fire followed by 20 seconds to rest, rinse and repeat.

The annual dues are going up to $100 last I heard. The new officers that were recently voted in are mostly guys I shoot with and they are a good bunch (not to take anything away from the previous club officers).

Sounds like fun. Is the Jan 1st match open to anyone?

I've always been intrigued about making bourbon by collecting the white oak shavings I get from the chain saw and caramelizing them with sugar and then put in a glass tank with grain alcohol.

I'd have to get my shavings from a crosscut saw. The oil I use on the chainsaw bar causes me concern that I might get kind of an off taste to my liquor.

Sure is. No pre-registration that I know of. If I remember correctly, it was only about 20-30 rounds and older military (WW2 or earlier?) rifles used a slightly larger target.

I know we could use bipods or front bags but I don't think a bag in the back was allowed. I shot an AR but I think any centerfire rifle is allowed.

My wife is kind of a city girl and has a fear of the woods. She has a dream of living in a high rise apartment in the city and I have a dream of living in the country where I don’t run into other people ever.

As long as we are together, we’ll be in the burbs as a compromise. It’s been 34 years now, so it seems to be a long term compromise.
Wow, you just told my life story

Have either of you guys tried satellite internet. It's been 15 years but I used it before cable got to us. You have to have line of sight to the satellite. I had to drop a tree at the time.

Remc is dropping fiber optic to the house in January. I can't decide if it's worth $63/mo for the lowest speed. Still pretty fast, but I can do all I need on my unlimited data with verizon.

You can just buy char oak chips and drop them into the bottle or a mason jar with the bourbon. Bags of it for this reason are cheap and precise. They also have flavoring you can buy.
Nkt my thing but ive heard good things from people who've done it these ways

I’m going to plan on being there for this one. Unless something comes up or if New Years Eve is lived up too much, I’ll be there. I see that last years New Years Day shoot started at noon. Same this year?
