For a quick pick me up in current times, I ordered a threaded barrel for my Glock 44. It arrived today. Looks a little goofy with how they did it, not much choice given the design constraints though. The extra length plus the thread adaptor just comes off as a bit chunky. Fits the fun I suppose. Lol

Overall fit was perfect and my Swarm makes a great combo with it. The light weight suppressor plays well with the light weight aspect of the 44.

Wow, that looks like a 1/4" NPT compression fitting!

    Any effect on accuracy?

It’s an odd barrel design. Perfectly acceptable if you never wanted it threaded in 1/2x28, but the barrel is noticeable smaller than US threading and you’d never get a barrel thick enough for that threading in the slide. So we get this slightly too long looking barrel with a rather large thread adaptor. Pretty it is not. lol

I’ve not had any of my other 22s see any significant shifts in accuracy or POI with this can, so I’m not expecting any different here. There stands a chance it will be different this time, as unlike most 22s the 44 doesn’t have a fixed barrel. Maybe that’ll effect things differently.

For just the barrel, it’s maybe 1/2” longer so I’m not expecting significant change from that either.

Eont know for sure on any change in accuracy until I can go to the range again. Whenever that may be.

I had a pretty good target hit yesterday with a Browning t-bolt. Zero was dead on at 25 yards. Groups were one ragged hole using Wolf Match target ammo.

I did a little internet research, plugging in everything I could find on that load into Strelok Pro, then tweaking the velocity up to account for the t-bolt's 22" barrel (just barely sub-sonic).

Come-up calculated to 26.75 MOA for 200 yards.

Dialed that into the Vortex 3-12x42 and placed a cold bore single head shot into a 3"x4.5" target.

    PING!
    HUZZAH!

Received my Enoch Odin chassis last week. I purchased a "blem," but quite honestly I cannot find any discernable imperfections. Definitely looks and feels like a well machined piece of aluminum.

Also have a Whistlepig 6" barrel on order, as well as a Gear Head Tailhook Mod1 brace.

Tactical Solutions trigger group already on hand, courtesy of the OP.

Slowly but surely getting all of the pieces together.

Edit: Decided to mock up the pieces I had (chassis, trigger group, and a spare A2 grip I had laying around). Unfortunately it appears that the Tactical Solutions trigger group has a different contour and doesn't match up to the chassis' grip shelf very nicely. In addition, the extended magazine release butts up into the grip to the point where it would be unusable. Oh well. Gives me a trigger group to drop into a rifle in the future. I'll likely go with a BX in this pistol.

    Here's my 1949 Remington 513-T.
It was a training rifle for both the Army, and the Marine Corps.
It now sports a Nikon Prostaff 4-12 Rimfire.
Old guns still shoot well, but old eyes don't see well.

I helped instruct at a Revere's Riders private basic rifle event last week. After day 1 was over, UL & I brought out an old ~1958 Mossberg 152 that I picked up from another INGO user here.

After testing zero, then fixing the sight, we laid down some 2-3 MOA groups.

The ol' gal shoots pretty good with CCI. That's the only ammo we tried.

Target was 25 yards, unsupported, sling only.

My dad's J.C. Higgins bolt action was at one time equipped with WCF/Savage 150 peep sight. The mount is still attached to the rifle but that's it. I've been trying to track one down with little luck. Gun Parts Corp has most of the pieces, but not all of them.

Any idea on where to get one? I've been checking eBay and other sights occasionally with little luck.

    Here's the sight.

I recently put this Kidd Supergrade 10/22 together. I was able to test some Eley Tenex and Lapua Midas + earlier this year. It's a shooter for sure. Overall weight is 7lbs 5 oz. The barrel, alone, weighs 49oz!

My intention was to compete with this one and my custom Ruger 10/22 at the Camp Perry CMP Rimfire Nationals this year (July). Fingers crossed that the event happens. Either way, it will be a fun rifle to shoot.

Thanks! Love it when range pics are posted!

Shooting with a 1958 rifle, w/o a rest & with iron sights: :wow:

You must have 20 yr. old eyes & shooting with no wind that day! :)

I really like that set up! I need to start shooting 10/22s again. Have Shilen , VQ and Green Mountain barrels. And a KIDD barrel on a Ruger Charger. Hopefully you get to shoot at Camp Perry. A fiend of mine wanted me to shoot bullseye this year at Perry but it might have to wait till next year.
