The Government is doing their best to cripple the small businesses that we’re going to remain open. We had to shutter ANOTHER store today because the employees all QUIT to get in on the +$600 on unemployment. Before ANY who THINK they KNOW chime in, the first 7 that QUIT, WERE APPROVED for unemployment benefits! I’ll let you know when, or if, the other 9 , SO FAR are either accepted or denied. 5 viable restaurants in ONE WEEK. All closed because it’s easier to sit home and collect “FREE” money.:xmad:

Since they were approved for unemployment despite quitting, I owe you an apology.

I said that something was off with the story. Your story was 100% spot on. The "off" part was Congress enacting legislation like this.

    I am sorry.

Ever go to value market in mooresville? Steaks are pretty good, imo. Hamburger sucks but like their steaks

You bought the wrong hamburger. They have good meat all around at a great savings. Sure you didnt accidentally buy the wrong stuff? We buy 95/5 and many complain that its not good. Lots of folks poo-poo the lean burger grind.

    .
This is why I LOVE Bambi Burgers.
It's gotta be like 120/-20 or something close. You need to add your own oil.

Next time I get ahold of some venison I'm making 'Swedish Bambi Balls'. It's soooo god.

    Could be anywhere
Sounds like some folks are overcooking their burgers. If you like them burned and dry it's up to you. Lean meats you just cook less...if you can't stand the pink then use your A1 I guess.

I was designated grill guy at a 4th picnic of the fams a couple years back. My uncle kept telling me I was flipping too soon and taking them off too early. After he ate one he apologized and said overcooking them is probably why his turned out too dry; his wife agreed.

Thermostat poster I saw at a steak place once:

    Rare
    Medium Rare
    Wait,
    What are doing?
    Now you've ruined it!

Mandatory sit rep, still quiet at the homestead. Have not been off our land since March 13th. I should probably go start the vehicles and let them run a bit.

Seems awfully short-sighted of them, but a lot of folks in the service industry know they can just up and find a different job at the next restaurant tomorrow. Once the dust settles, that may not be the case.

Made a trip to meijer in anderson today. The only things I noticed not present were ramen noodles, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and 5 gal primo water jugs. I was going to stock up on fish antibiotics today but sadly chewy.com is sold out and i dont know of another reputable source that sells them. Also was going to go to rural king for some deep cycle batteries but they are out also.

Valley Vet Supply still has some. Gotta click on each one to find them. Amoxicillin was available a minute ago.

If anyone is in need of nitrile gloves, check Napa Auto. They are half-price this month and plenty in stock. I got online last night and ordered a few boxes to my local store. I went in this morning and paid in-store. It sounded like they still had some in the stockroom, and definitely no issues ordering them for now anyway. 6 mil thick, $10.99 per box of 100.

7 trees down in my sub. ****. Redford Pears and the cheap assed developers who fill all the subdivisions with these dirty vagina smelling useless pieces of wood. On a lighter note, wrote the last check out of my business account that won’t bounce. Nobody else is getting paid until there is a substantial amount of work again. Oh and anyone who thinks the SBA is trying to help small businesses is foolish. The big “small” businesses are who is being helped, mom and pops are being left to die off of a slow and agonizing death. I guess it’s true, if you’re not the lead dog, the scenery never changes.

Thanks, I will give your thoughts all the consideration they deserve.

    “On a lighter note”
    Geez.
I’m sorry man. Not that my sorry will do any good, but I am. Just in case it helps.

You do apparently take downed trees pretty seriously though.

Something’s up with the Walmart curb-side pick up thing. The last couple of times my wife has placed an order, they’ve come back with various things not available or out of stock or however they worded it. But, when my wife went in to check, there was “plenty” of those out of stock items there on the shelves.
