Well, the bright side is that the next time you'll check before you leave, and probably about every 30 minutes for the rest of the day.
I leave my gun in the holster when it's off so when I put the holster on I can't forget the gun. But, I've cleaned my pistol, and or left the range with it unloaded, no mag and all. So i can totally relate there. I'd have had to draw, get a click, and have to load it! Not a good feeling when you realized what you've done, that's for sure. Thanks for sharing BT, that's a good one!
At what point did you decide you had left it at home versus losing it somewhere during your travels? Did you scour your car seats, work area? Try to walk around looking inconspicuous while screaming on the inside hoping to spot it before someone hollered, GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?? Just wondering.

I even walk the same pattern around the kitchen getting things ready to leave for work in the morning...
Every morning pat down, gun, wallet, phone, keys, lunch. It's hell getting old...
