I took my 4 year son old out to the bil's house to shoot the 15-22. He is sensitive to loud noises, always covering his ears when he thinks something is going to be louder than normal. Even suppressed he thought it was loud. When I was showing him how to look through the scope he would be holding one hand over his ear and trying to shoulder his other ear. He didn't want to shoot it at all for fear that it would be too loud, he was getting scared, and it was too heavy for him to hold on his own. So I held it out in front of me, pointed at the target and he reluctantly pulled the trigger. After the first shot it was like you flipped a switch and he was all in. He emptied 3 magazines (with me still holding it at the gong) as fast as I could put them in.
Overall a great little first shooting session. Went from me thinking that he's too young and too afraid to him having the biggest s&!t eating grin. Cant wait for the next time we go out.
