    They should have done a forced Covid-19 test on the perpetrator. Not that the result matters for me in regards to charges, as the charge should be the same if he has it or not. If they can take a breath/blood test, etc for suspicion of driving intoxicated, then should be able to be done in this situation. I'm not usually for that kind of govt activity, but you assault a kid and threaten them with a disease, then you've waived a few rights, especially when due process costs time with a health concern of the person who was assaulted.
