Congratulations to you and your wife!I have missed so much in this thread, I think even the start. Just got back from India. Was there for a month. Got hitched. Now just trying to catch up on work along with the HB 1077 stuff that resulted in a giant time sink yesterday.
Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry to see you're having a particularly rough time, CM.
oh...rusty....now I get it.....I’ve never bought a vehicle under 175,000 miles, nor have I spent over $4000 or so for one. Never had a car payment. I’m fine with my old junk.
Same. I have managed to get two vehicles there, well sort of.My goal is always 200,000 miles on a vehicle - not all make it.
No drops. Way to cold in the winter and a few years out major expense for a new top especially if it's not garaged regularly. We’ve got a drop top camaro on our lot. Little more that you wanted to pay.
Major Congrates and a few thrown in for good measure.I have missed so much in this thread, I think even the start. Just got back from India. Was there for a month. Got hitched. Now just trying to catch up on work along with the HB 1077 stuff that resulted in a giant time sink yesterday.

My wife has a Lexus (aka Toyota) with 126k. I'm hoping it sees 250k...she is hoping for 126,001....210k on my Rav4 and still going strong.
OK now I have man wood. Who needs the blue pill. And its a 396. Mother of Gawd almighty in heaven I want it.
My last service truck was a heavy half ton chevy with a 5.3 in it. 280K on the clock and it was worn out bumper to bumper. It had 200K plus on the clock when I bought it. Rebuilt select parts here and there mainly steering. Ran the dog crap out of it. The engine was down a bit on power from about 250K on but still ran interstate speeds and did not overheat. I figured it was the last one, so I just pushed it to my end and a Hispanic friend of my Hispanic neighbor bought it and rolled it out a lot longer. It's amazing how far they can flog a dead horse.About 233k on my Hyundai Elantra Wagon. Just crossing my fingers that it gets me through until I start my post-degree job
Wait until you get tired of working on them all the time.I’ve never bought a vehicle under 175,000 miles, nor have I spent over $4000 or so for one. Never had a car payment. I’m fine with my old junk.

I paid my guy to do the lines on our 04 GMC Sierra. That was a rats nest at the anti-lock module way to close to the body and inside the frame. He actually lifted the cab up 2' so he could get in there and work. I stopped by to check on it and freaked when I saw the cab on the lift and the roller on jack stands. He thought it was funny. In truth I am sure it was.......to him..... I had the entire brake system overhauled at the same time.I had a 2002 GMC Sierra with 236k on it. Replaced all the brake lines (what a PIA). It was a little loud in the cold but still ran well. Sold to my godson’s dad who is still using it but not as a daily driver. Pulls a small camper and uses it occasionally to haul things. Has the usual rust but still a solid truck.
Yeah. It helps that my dad is a Hyundai tech, so at least historically, I've gotten a lot of free labor and heck half the time free parts. I've had to do a few repairs here, but mostly it just waits until he gets it.My last service truck was a heavy half ton chevy with a 5.3 in it. 280K on the clock and it was worn out bumper to bumper. I had to replace a brake line in mine. What a pain, indeed.I had a 2002 GMC Sierra with 236k on it. Replaced all the brake lines (what a PIA).
