Mexican sit down restaurants at lunch is the only game left worth playing. We have 6+ in Evansville that have anything you want on the lunch menu including soda for $8.

Considering the 3 bowls of chips and salsa that I normally destroy, it's a hell of a deal.
Strange appears to be the same phenomenon around here. There is an authentic cuisine place about an hour drive from us. It’s the only place we go anymore.

Most other places if you do not consume alcohol service is awful, prices are high and good look getting a refill on your unsweet tea.

Anymore it’s not worth the Expense for poor service and at best marginal food.

I agree with everything you guys are saying. Yet go to Evansville or Owensboro Ky. (both near me) on any night and the restaurants that are decent are packed. Get there before 5:00 or plan to wait.
Hell if I know where people get all the money. I haven't seen even a hint that 50% real world inflation is rounding off frivolous and luxury spending.

Dude you need to make your own!
That's what we do mostly, and we've found a couple of frozen pizza brands that are'nt too bad which are a fraction of the cost. Like I said we only do a delivery pizza maybe once a month even at that. Usefully every Friday night is pizza night here, so we have to do cheaper alternatives now.

If you've not tried Home Run Inn frozen pizza. Give it a try. As far as we're concerned it's the best. The large pizza is $8. The wife does not care for pepperoni. So we buy one with just sausage. Then I add my own pepperoni on half.

Hey guys don't blame the retailers, the dollar has lost so much value that they have to up the prices just to try to stay even. If you want this crazy stuff to stop vote Trump in 2024.
Ah so Joe can continue to get more votes than Anyone in History? Until these lazy *** Republicans start taking their oath of office seriously nothing is going to change.

Besides my Money is on Mitt Romney! According to him he is viable choice.

Their margaritas are more than the lunches when we go! Usually about 10 bucks for a "medium".

If we ever get around to treating high priced restaurants like Bud Light, we might see some moderation?

It's not all the restaurants fault, but also all of their suppliers, who all pay high prices after the "free" covid money and policy ruined our ecomomy.

As long as we feed the trolls, guess what?

Inflation calc doesn't include food and energy. Geez, the two things everybody needs.
    Imagine that, the

At the top dining and driving in taxpayer dollars manipulate the numbers by not counting the most basic of needs. Who cares that gas has doubled and food has gone up by another 25-75% in price, it’s not covered under the inflation statistics so they Don’t care and can say “oh it’s all in your head, inflation is ONLY 8-10%!”

Teach all of your families to cook for themselves, be frugal and learn to appreciate the value and taste of well prepared inexpensive food.

Train your kids to like the sale meats over all other grocery pre-packaged stuff and certainly restaurant foods, (which are mostly not healthy foods anyway.)

There are many many benefits to this, beyond not being broke from "having to eat," out.

The owner of a restaurant near Patoka Lake told me that onion rings were taken off the menu because a bag of them jumped from $24 to $70 in one week! WTF is going on here?
Me and my dad used to go to the local China Buffet ....................they quit carrying chicken wings , which was his Fav , so we quit going .
