    It isn't.

Spend 5 minutes composing a "quality" post - repeat seven times a day for a week and you have your fifty (minus 1). Also, you are less likely to pop up on the Mods radar if you spread the posts out over a week.

Secondly, people in the classifieds are probably going to be more trusting if you show that you are actually active on the forums and interested in participating in the give and take.

    Or fork over $20.

Fifty posts at 5 minutes each is a little over four hours of work. Compared to just paying the $20, that means you are working for about $5/hour. :dunno:

You know, getting quoted by a quiet member, that only has 226 posts since August 2012... I feel special.
    :)

I got mad at someone, almost left.
Because they said something like, any military person would carry out any order and shoot any person just because they were told to.

And then I thought about it.
That person, or INGO, doesn't affect my house, my work, my pay, my health, etc.

So, I just didn't bother with that one person anymore.
Soon enough, they were no longer posting.

It should be changed my opinion.
So what brings you here from Philly?

I think it's time for one of my greatest hits...

    OK, where to begin...

50 quality posts are required for access to the classifieds. Site Supporter status bypasses this, but the vetting process of being an active member here is why many choose to use the classifieds here.

INGO is a discussion forum with a classifieds section. We are not Armslist or Gunbroker. We are more like a big dysfunctional family than anything, but it's OUR big dysfunctional family.

In my signature line (along with the links to the site and classifieds rules) you'll see "come for the classifieds, stay for the discussion." That sums up a lot about INGO.

Also we are different from most places on the Interwebz since we quite often know each other in the realz. We have shot together, eaten together, and cried together when we lost more friends than I can count.

Like I said: come for the classifieds, stay for the discussion.

but a 50post rule? Kinda not going to work
It's worked pretty well so far for us.

If you want to do (gun related) business with people (members) that you've never met and who've never met you on an open forum, those 50 posts will at least give us a baseline of who you really are and your personality to better gauge whether to do business with you or not. Many of us have actually met in the real world. We've shot together, partied together, laughed and cried together (RIP CM & Bigtanker).

This site is more of a self-policing community than a trading market. If you are intent on doing nothing but buying/selling, there are many other sites on the 'net to do that.

You will find if you engage this community and follow the rules, we will welcome you with open arms. The rules exist to protect it's members, and owners from being shut down. Just look at what our rogue govt. has done to the J6'ers that essentially committed no serious crimes. If they can do that, they can find the tiniest of excuses to shut us down and none of us want that.
