What's your take on this guy's opinion on carrying?

Nice Holster! I especially like the retention snap that you have to unsnap with you fingers and not your thumb and then move out of the way so you can draw the gun. Very efficient. :n00b:

      XDm 3.8 magazine release

I have an XDm 3.8 and a 5.25. Both do this. I concur with Toolepqk here too that once the #19 round is chambered, the release is good to go.

      OC without mag?

wow...just realized a resurrected a pretty dead thread. sorry. it's been a while since I've posted.

      OC without mag?

competitive shooter? It is possible that he just came from an IDPA or IPSC match. You have to stay empty with no mag during the match until you go up to shoot. If you want to mess with your gun, you have to visit a "safe area"...and even then, you cant mess with ammo. I have frequently gotten...

      45 ACP overall length

My dads rock island has the same problem that you are having. I reload with a 1.230 oal on hornady 230 FMJ RN. I noticed that there was no problem feeding the round into the barrel itself, but when my dad would rack the first round, he would hang on to the slide a little bit. This made the...

      .380?

if you have the money, i would HIGHLY recommend the Sig P238. It and the Walther PPK are the only .380s that I find actually feels like a real pistol. Honestly, it shoots better than many full sized guns that I have shot. With that said, you should pick a pistol that fits your necessity so...

Good powder to use for reloading .45?

I've been doing a 4.6 grain load with the TiteGroup that I have been liking a lot in my 1911.

Good powder to use for reloading .45?

i have been a fan of TiteGroup. Mostly for the fact that in a few load books it was listed as the "accuracy load". It also has larger grains, so it goes a bit further than other powder and thus is cheaper.

Liberal Ed Shultz interviews Joe Zamudio who held down AZ Gunman

I was watching this initially when it aired on TV. When Ed started talking about how he owned rifles I thought it was going to be OK, but then he said that he has never owned a pistol and that he wouldn't know what to do with 30 rounds. Once he said that, I instantly turned it off. Looks like...
