What did you get at the August 2013 Indy 1500?

Finally, FINALLY found bulk 147gr 9mm. Bought 1k for $320. Not a great deal, but not bad. Regardless...I can finally feed the Gemtechs.

      Video Editor

Another vote for Windows Movie Maker. It's free, fast and simple to use and does 90% of what anyone would ever need an NLE to do. Also, unlike more advanced NLE suites, it doesn't take 6 months to learn how to use it. I also have and use Sony Vegas 10. But for simple, quick NLE, I fire up Movie...

which gun can i sell quicker...

...although wifey might want to have a look at that 642 before you go and sell it. Great little purse guns. Just ask my wife! She used to carry a Colt Defender, but wanted something she could fire from inside her purse if needed. S&W Wheelie was her solution.

      Thoughts on Glock 21?

If I may summarize Kirk's post: Pros: It's a Glock. Cons: It's a Glock. They have no secrets. For ~$500 you can get one in a day or two. In a day or two, you can sell one for ~$500. What's to lose? Buy one. Try it out for 6 months. If it's not for you, sell it for what you paid.

      Flying with a handgun

Check the individual policies of the airline you're flying. Although all airlines meet the requirements of the TSA, each airline is different is different. Ammo must be in an ammo box. It cannot be in the magazine(s). However, ammo will quickly send your bag over any modest weight limit. I...

      Best 9mm Defense Round

Camby had a few boxes of 9mm Zombie last time I was there (yesterday). That said, my preference for ammo is in the face. :D If those aren't available, upper chest rounds work well. In the face ammo can be bought anywhere ammo is sold. As for the shape of the bullet, I don't really care as...

Penn Jillette on the Wendy Williams Show

Penn also has a podcast. Google Penn's Sunday School. Hey may **** you off. He may enlighten you. Either way, he will force you to think.

How to alienate a loyal customer - A message to LGS owners everywhere

So I assume all the "Burn the price gougers" group will be happy to sell me all their gold for exactly what they paid for it 20 years ago? C'mon. Sell it to me for $250 an ounce. Put your money where your big mouths are. Rice, steel, gold, tickle-me-elmoes, pork bellies, Pete Rose rookie-year...

Ruger LCP vs Sig Sauer P238

I paid something like $270 for my LCP a couple years ago, to replace a Bersa 380 I gave to my father-in-law. It's a "disposable" gun...just like the Bersa. Just like the Bersa, its usual home is stuffed into the side of my driver's side car seat. Unlike the Bersa, the LCP goes into a 'wallet...

      Had my picture taken

A man carrying a gun openly is the functional equivalent of a woman going topless in public. Most people think it's illegal, when it's not (in most states). Many people think it's wrong for a myriad of reasons, from moral, to tactical to simple decent human behavior. Reactions to open carry...

      Worst Gun Manufactuer

I've only ever had two handguns that had failed due to a manufacturing defect that required the gun to be returned to the factory for repair: Ruger LCP, Colt New Agent. And then the Ruger had to go back again for a recall. The Ruger I can sorta forgive, because it's a price-point gun. Like...

Picked up a bersa plus cheap with short report.

I've said it a half dozen times on here...Bersa has to be the single most under-rated handgun maker in the world. If they charged $500 for their guns instead of $300, they would probably get more respect.

      Gun for wife

Concealed carry=handgun. Home defense=shotgun. For a woman who's not familiar with guns, 20ga pump.

      .45 concealed carry

I conceal-carry a Remington 1100 12ga, full choke. Just wear a trench coat and a wedding dress, no one will know it's there.:draw: On days when my wedding dress is at the cleaner, I'm reduced to carrying a Colt New Agent.
