      Because the media smears any true conservative, and too many stupid people still believe everything they hear on the nightly news or read in the local paper.

      On Intrade Romney has a 68% chance of winning the nomination, Newt comes in second with a 13% chance. Intrade was pretty accurate in 2004, not sure about 2008. Interesting that Newt's rise in the polls have not been reflected on Intrade.
