      Sig 226 why?

P229 is my daily carry. It's a little heavy, but a good belt/holster combo make it comfortable. I can't find anything to beat Sig in the ergonomics department for me. They just point so much more naturally for me. I know many others won't agree, but that's why there are so many different...

      Vertx Gamut EDC

I did. I've been meaning to post a full review, as there wasn't much on it here, and I will in the near future. I've been using it for about a month now as a general around town or weekend EDC, and it's performed great. I had not had any experience with Vertx before, and I have to say this...

Special Operations Equipment (S.O.E.) 25% off sale

I've heard the felon thing before too, though I've never heard anyone mention a charge. Doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me. If that's actually the case, good on him for moving on. With regards to the customer service issue, I've dealt with John once regarding an order that I...

      Vertx Gamut EDC

I've been looking for a new EDC bag for just a general purpose type of deal. I've been looking at the Vertx Gamut EDC bag and I like the look of it, just wondered if anyone else has any experience with them, or Vertx in general. It was a new name to me, but they seem pretty solid. Haven't found...

Special Operations Equipment (S.O.E.) 25% off sale

Great deal but it would also be worth noting that when SOE runs these sales they also require you 'like' their sale on Facebook, share it, as well as post what you're buying in the comments, otherwise it won't work. Hopefully this helps save a few people from scratching their heads when they...

Not Negligent Discharge...... just an accident that happens sometimes?

INGO noob, standing by to be schooled, Grandmaster.

Thinking about carrying an AR pistol.

I get what you're saying. but not without concern. First of all, let me be clear that I am in no way an expert on firearm or self-defense law. My concern is not necessarily about whether or not it's legal to carry in this fashion as much as the event you're describing actually occurring...

Not Negligent Discharge...... just an accident that happens sometimes?

I've always been taught that there's no such thing as an 'accidental' discharge, but then again I can understand the department wanting to put as good a spin on it as they can for the media. The officer's fortunate nothing worse happened. It just goes to show how necessary constant training is.

      Sig p229

Great gun. I have a newer P229 in .40. It shoots great. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Montana Ambush Case Goes to Court

I agree with the 'castle doctrine' how I interpret it. That is to say if I feel threatened in my home, I have a right to protect myself by means up to and including the use of deadly force. That being said, what happened here doesn't seem to have anything to do with a perceived physical threat...

Saker 7.62 Silencer Go or No Go?

I've been doing a little research on this topic as well and I'm really liking the look of SilencerCo's Octane 9. I like the idea that it is user serviceable, as well as for about $80 (I think) you can replace the end cap to support various threads, making it easy to switch from firearm to...
