American Taliban' fighter to be released after 17 years

Is time out early for good behavior a mechanistic thing? By this I mean--if you do the right things, and comply, etc... do they have to let you out? Or did some judge out in Terre Haute make this decision? He technically had three years left to my understanding...

Harriet Tubman is your potential replacement for Jackson on the $20 bill.

Trump administration has made it sound like this won't happen until 2028. Which strikes me as odd, because Harriet Tubman was a Republican...

      Instructing Shooters: Do's, Don't's and OMG's?

First gun class I ever took: I was already familiar with guns due to family culture, and had a bit of experience shooting. There were other people in class who had just bought a gun to take the class, and that was as much experience as they had. The instructor took the time to ask us about our...

Choosing a Gun for the Woman in Your Life

Another girl chiming in here-- I am not picky. I feel confident shooting most things, assuming it's not a 12 gauge shotgun without padding for an hour. ;) That said, something I have found with many female friends, and an angle the article did not cover, is the potential for physical...

      Any legal concerns here.

The situation you describe--a "heroic act" could easily turn out to NOT be a heroic act unless you know you have all the information involved. Classic example is walking into a situation where a man is pinning a woman to the ground and she's screaming at him to stop attacking her, etc... If...

      What Did You Carry Today

G19 inside a Belly Band. Just did some research however, and it appears I need to invest in a belly band with a molded pocket or get a pocket holster to protect the trigger?

For those who feel that punching justifies deadly force...

The balance of physical strength between yourself and the attacker would probably also come into play were you ever brought to trial. As a woman, if some huge thug comes after me, regardless of whether he is armed or not, he is capable of killing me, and I should be totally justified in...

Indiana licenses in the state of KY

So, I have a quick question for all ya'll. A friend of mine is going to Kentucky this upcoming week and has an Indiana LTCH. I know that KY recognizes the IN LTCH. However, my friend is 18. Can my friend carry in Kentucky with his LTCH or must he also be 21, since KY does not issue licenses...

Options for on body carry wearing a dress?

Depends on how clingy the material is, but I've carried a Glock 19 in a dress using a belly band. It's AWESOME. :)

      So you found

Okeydokey, point taken. I'll shut up now and let this thread die. :)

What's wrong with our young people?!?!

Also, while some women might shy away from the idea of hurting an assailant, most mothers will not shy away from a freak trying to hurt their kids. Excellent reason to carry. If not for yourself, for your kids.

      So you found

Most of the time I'm serious. But hey...sometimes being a tiny bit silly is fun. :)

This stuff is getting out of hand...

We'll see if that day ever comes, and if it does, I'll let you know what I do. :) But being discreet and careful who you talk to WILL eliminate some trouble. And if trouble comes, it will probably be less extreme, and you'll at least know that you weren't asking for it. :D

Pyogenic Granuloma: Never look up what you have!

None of those things are THAT bad. You guys are all so wimpy. ;) Ya'll should look up flesh-eating bacteria! :D @ OP You could practice shooting w/ your left hand, or w/out your thumb. Just in case you lose it. ;)
