Excellent watch given the media hype about Obama's visit to Hiroshima

Maybe you can clarify, by one sidedness do you mean you take issue with people agreeing with one side of this issue? I'd like to hear whatever point you're trying to make about a middle ground? As in both options, to drop or not to drop, are valid? Or both invalid? I truly don't understand...

Excellent watch given the media hype about Obama's visit to Hiroshima

I just like how well he articulates the audacity of trying to criticize that decision now 70 something years later. As though it were simply a matter of should we have either wiped out an entire city with one bomb or should we have not wiped out an entire city with one bomb.

Excellent watch given the media hype about Obama's visit to Hiroshima

I'm sure some of you are familiar with Bill Whittle. I remembered this video from a few years ago after seeing all the media hype lately and some of the arguments for or against the atomic bombing of Japan. Very much worth the watch. https://vimeo.com/71774851

The SB 101 (Religious Freedom Restoration) Thread

Best article I've read so far. It sums up the opinion of most true freedom loving individuals with consistent principles. Father Hollywood: I don't believe in religious freedom

Iran attacks replica of aircraft carrier

Recent USN vet here. Yes, they can shoot back. They actually have quite a bit of firepower. And yes, carriers do operate alone from time to time but I'm pretty confident they wouldn't be alone while in range of a bunch little speedboats in a war zone or even a remotely potential war zone...

Do you think they realize the real ones shoot back? Video: Iran attacks replica US ship in military drill - Telegraph

      Renewing/Applying for LTCH...

I understand that not notifying the ISP of an address change on time is a class B misdemeanor. My question as to what happens if you don't notify them within 60 days is more along the lines of what happens functionally. How would they know? Does some red flag pop up somewhere? Is some...

      Mosul has fallen

How about when allies are attacked?

      Mosul has fallen

Man you missed out. I got an engineering degree and a job out of the GI bill. @Hornadylnl Is it your view that wars are never justified or is just these wars? Under what circumstance would war be justified?

      Mosul has fallen

So for your parallel with Japan to work we apparently need to get these guys to surrender first then offer them the kinder, gentler Islam2.0? That doesn't really offer a solution to the current problem. In any case it doesn't defeat my larger point, which is that this current...

      Mosul has fallen

@Kirk. You suggest we use propaganda to get the jihadis to adopt a nicer form of their religion and you keep citing our actions in Germany and Japan after WWII. I think that's a gross oversimplification as the current culture and geopolitical situation we're dealing with isn't anything...

Uh oh, looks like Glock is in trouble

I didn't even read the story. It doesn't matter, anything a couple high level employees at Glock did won't make any difference in my decision to buy another one.

      No guns/weapons signs

Well as I said, you securely hold the moral high ground on this one. To me it's a value judgement not a moral one, I value my protection more than I value store owners' silly pr concerns. And yes, I fully understand I don't often HAVE to go into any given store but Meh. No one knows, no one cares.

      No guns/weapons signs

Taking the moral high ground I see, that's fine, I take the no harm no foul approach. What the store owner doesn't know doesn't bother the store owner. Besides, most dogs are much more difficult to carry concealed.

      No guns/weapons signs

I've trained myself to have selective vision when it comes to "no guns" signs in any place that won't get me arrested. After carrying regularly for a number of years one thing I've determined is almost nobody pays enough to attention to ever notice a gun even when carried open but especially...
