      My son and I would like to buy some paintball markers. I don't know much about it, but, it seems the Tippman Model 98 is popular. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't need super-duper cool ones, just good quality models where we can run around in the woods behind the house.

      I will thank you, sir, not to mod that pump. Definitely get a 500 or a beater 870 and go at it. First shotgun, or gun, for that matter, I shot, was a 12 ga. Mod 37 with a corn-cob fore end.       INGO SKS Shoot 12-27-08

      My 13 year old is up for shooting. He will try the SKS, is it okay for us to bring a 10/22? I don't have a bunch of 7.62x39, so I will let him shoot as much as his shoulder allows. I thought this would be a good way to meet some of the folks. filster

      I saw one at Dick's. It has the syn stock, which doesn't lend itself to shortening, esp depending on the process the stock was molded from. So I will go with the "hardwood" birch stock.Have sawn and reattached stocks before with good results, cut has to precise. Come to think of it, that repair...

      Any of you guys interested in swapping for machining? I am a project manager of the toolroom at work. We have a complete toolroom with all the toys. Much of the time our CNC machining center is busy with production. But I still have access to our Bridgeports, lathes, surface grinders, EDM, etc...
