I bought it when they first came out. Trying to support local business and all. I talked to the owner awhile back about them being made of magnesium when I was gonna recoat a couple, he said there is so little in it that it doesn't matter. I figured I was SOL, just thought I would ask. Thank you...
Shooting my SBR a little while back and the lower broke at the rear takedown pin. People have told me this can be welded, any chance that's true? Also, do you guys think it's just a bad lower or is there a chance being over gassed can cause this?

Barrel length is 20'. COL is 2.26
The TMK is longer than the SMK, which is why I'm using the starting loads for SMK. I've loaded 23.5-24.5 in .1 increments and will do the same type of ladder for H335. If results with H335 are close, I'll probably use it because it's cheaper and my LGS doesn't...
Precision and for coyote hunting. Not really satisfied with the 200+ yard accuracy out of the 55gr Nosler Btips I'm using right now. I was unaware Varget was not temperature sensitive. Ill start with 24grs of Varget with an OAL of 2.26. Hodgdon lists that weight as starting for the SMK with OAL...
Yea, I've got Nosler, Hornady, and Lyman manuals. I've got varget, benchmark, H335, CFE223, W748, IMR8208, and RL15. Would basing my starting load off 69gr Nosler CC be alright? Never loaded anything without hard data on that bullet.
I know at one point they had some tooling issues and the trigger pin holes were not drilled in the correct location. I had one like that and they exchanged it without question. As far as I know, there is only one full time guy and one part time guy there now. I was told they are only making...
I just got some Sierra .223 69 grain Tipped Matchking bullets in and was looking for load data. Not much info to be found. Some say to use original matchking data, but the difference in bullet length makes me leery of that. Anyone have any data on this bullet? Any help is appreciated!
I watched a guy shoot through his bed rail with a 22. Shot and noticed that it didn't hit the target and couldn't figure out why. Luckily it was the old farm truck.
Pelican cases are the way to go. Bought one and some extra foam inserts and change them out for carrying different rifles. I have a redhead plastic/aluminum case from bass pro and the hinges broke the first time I closed it. Had it for a year before it pretty well fell completely apart.
I had a Forester original when I first started but recently upgraded to a Frankford Arsenal platinum trimming station for bottle neck cartridges. Saves a ton of time
