Will the Ukraine/Russia situation affect 7.62x39/5.45x39/7.62x54r prices?

How was I trolling? I just have a lot of my hobby wrapped up in Russian calibers. I thought the threat of a cutoff warranted discussion. I guess I shouldn't post, then.

      Oldest gun you own?

Definitely has to be my 1943 Swiss K31. Original user was a gent named Alfred Mavitz. He was from Basil, Switzerland. That's all I can find on him.

Will the Ukraine/Russia situation affect 7.62x39/5.45x39/7.62x54r prices?

I'm just saying the detrimental effects of an embargo will be incidental. How is that being cynical? Barry doesn't want an all out war, so, as gun owners, we'll sadly experience the effects of this symbolic gesture. It just happens to be convenient for the gun grabbers. :(

      AK47 trigger ?

My O-PAP's Tapco G2 did this when I got it new. I found a video on youtube that explained the problem. You need to bend the retainer spring so that it doesn't bend inwards and catch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pc-ALO_7xI EDIT: Looks like you might have gotten it fixed, but I'll leave...

Will the Ukraine/Russia situation affect 7.62x39/5.45x39/7.62x54r prices?

Will the Ukraine/Russia situation affect ammo/gun/accessory/optic prices? I was thinking, my rifles were partially picked for their access to a steady stream of cheap ammo. If Russia doesn't back off, I'm guessing we could see some trade embargoes coming. Also, Ukraine is probably going to...

      Conservation clubs

I belong to a Conservation Club. Pros: 1. It sure is nice to live 2 miles from the range. 2. The range is NEVER crowded 3. I can fish without a license 4. The price is great compared to other ranges in town 5. People are generally very friendly. cons: 1. If you hate the complaining at...

Gander Mountain...why did I even bother?

I never go to gander. It makes more sense to forge a relationship with a smaller shop. Gander treats me like city slicker trash.

      Zastava N-PAP's A-Okay

The muzzle will take any 14x1mm LH threaded devices. (Tapco For example) Pistol grip is compatible with pretty much anything. Swapped mine out for a hogue. stock = I don't know, but the poster above me answered it though. magazines = anything I've tried. Steel, us palm, tapco, bulgarian...

      Scope Rings whats the difference

I've found cheap rings usually scratch my scope (Mexican Milletts for example). IME, decent rings are worth it. If you MUST go super cheap, the $15 UTG rings work alright on my Dad's .17hmr. They are straight, and they didn't wreck the scope.

      Zastava N-PAP's A-Okay

I've had my O-PAP for almost a year too, and it's been a lot of fun making it mine. I cleaned and refinished the furniture. I added a Russian sling and rear sling mount to the stock. I also swapped out the mount on my PK-A red dot to fit the O-PAP's SVD style mount. It's a solid, cool, fun...

      Glock 21 Holster Suggestions

I have "High Noon" IWB leather holsters for my Glock 19 and Sig P225. I know these are smaller guns than the Glock 21, but check out High Noon. They are very highly regarded amongst other gun communities I frequent. Feels like you're not wearing anything. Unbelievably comfortable. Not...

Who here doesn't own an AR and why?

I suppose I've always been a bit of a contrarian. I prefer the concept and reliability of the AK platform. I like the cheap ammo, ease of cleaning, and ease of field-stripping of the AK. I love the look of AK's. Ice Cube never said, "ahh didn't have to use my A arrr."
